Bored.

Who else is bored? Someone called in sick today so I have to cover his job for him; its not what I usually do. This is sitting, answering phones dealing with customers and I'm used to doing something; running a mill or lathe, cutting material, anything but a desk job. Feels weird to just sit here. But its a nice break for today. Who else is bored?

I guess everyone else has something productive to be doing with their time. I hate working but not being busy. Time CRAWLS by. Looking at all the new posts, I see my name all over. Y'all probably get tired of me.

I've already got too much wants and not enough funds. So a 4WD catalog would be fun but no fun.

yeah sitting at a desk all day does get boring. But for me its part of the job doing paperwork, after being out in the field. Its nice to get ahead and just surf the net. but Seldom ever turn the computer on at home.

Yeah usually I'm getting dirty in the machine shop, so I feel guilty just sitting and surfing the net between tasks. The boss needs me to stay near the phones, so I am, and I do the little stuff around this shop that I can. We have 2 seperate buildings; the machine shop, and the inventory/shipping-recieving shop.

I still have 5 hours here. Well minus a lunch hour or so. When ya think of it like that it seems to take forever for the end of the day to come.

I'm with ya Prove. I'm a pretty boring guy. Does anyone else get laughs out of scaring people in their Jeep? "Dude your gonna roll!" or the classic female hillclimb scream "we're gonna go over backwards!"...Everyone's heard it. "Your gonna go up/across that?" Gotta love Jeeps.

Yeah I live in the land of random posts and people probably wondering how that came up. You'll see that a lot with me.

So who's the idiot who bought a header when he already had one on his Jeep?
That'd be me.

when im bored at work, i th ink of ways i could kill myself using only office supplies. like now, i bet if i tied a noose out of the phone cord, and hung it off of the ceiling grid, near the light where there will be support wires, then stood on my rolling chair and kicked it out, itd work

You should spend some time looking up 'Psychotherapist' in the YellowPages.

Its too damn cold in here. Its like a cave. This building is basically a warehouse and has no insulation, wayyyy colder inside than out.

i know the feelin. i hate when i've gotta cover for someone at the shop. its soooooo boring. i normally install our countertops which is great for an ADD person like me, bc we're never somewhere more than about an hr max. so i'm changing locations drivin around all day, keeps me entertained

Finally I'm outta there and home. Seemed like it would never happen. But last I talked to the dude I'm covering for, who got me the job, whos a good friend, he was in the emergency room getting blood tests. Real bad sinus infection he said yesterday, but I'm not sure whats wrong. So I gotta do it again tomorrow. Hopefully he will be ok.
