Brock Lesnar is the heavyweight champ

that sounds so darn cheezy. what is this wwe???? i was really rootin for randy, anyone get to see ufc 91? i never shell out the dough for the pay per view.

and now its snowing

i don't think he deserved to be in the ring for that fight, he's fought 3 times, won only twice, and now he's the champ. nogiera will hurt him though.

Just goes to show that no matter how good you are, you're only one lucky punch away from losing a fight. I can't stand to admit that Lesnar is the new champ. It disgusts me. Do you remember Tank Abbott? The man could hit, but had NO ground game, and eventually faded away into nothingness. (I consider Elite XC nothingness). You can't remain a single faceted fighter in today's day and age and expect to last long in the MMA world. He'll lose soon, and he'll either fade away to nothingness or he'll take a year off and train full time to develop some real fighting skills. We'll see. I'm sure Dana was happy that Randy lost. I'm not.

yup, its exactly what i said when they made the fight, dana wants brock to get a huge lucky hit.

if he trains for a few years, develops a well rounded game, he'll be unstoppable. he shouldn't be champ yet, it makes it kinda like a circus. you are right about the tank abbot, you have to have it all now.

i hate to say it cuz i love chuck lidell, but he might not be rounded enough for todays mma.

i wanna see anderson silva and brock lesnar might be the only opponoent to make silva sweat at least.

I would love to see a Silva/Lesnar fight. Silva would destroy him. But again, I don't think he deserves to be in the ring with Silva. There are other guys who are more committed and who have trained longer/harder than Lesnar. He's just a headliner........like the bearded lady or the Siamese twins. A freak to get people to buy the PPV. He needs to earn the right to fight in the UFC......

-Edit- I guess beating Randy would be a step towards earning that right, but there needs to be a rematch to prove he really IS the new champ.

yup, you can't deny beating randy is an accomplishment. wheter he earned it or not, he won. but it still doesn't change the fact he's a freakshow like you said, just there to sell ppv. didn't earn his position. i doubt anyone in ufc history fought 3 times and got a title shot, anderson silva didn't even get it that fast.

Okay I think even in Randy Couture's long career he probably won't want to get back in the ring with Lesnar. No one can deny that the man with the Triple X hands can throw a bigger punch than pretty much anyone else in the UFC.

You all are right that Lesnar hadn't earned that fight yet, but hey let's give him credit at least he didn't go do some retarded MMA fighting show to be able to fight in the UFC. I think his 106-5 NAIA and NCAA Div 1 wrestling record helped him with a little resume builder.

I figured Couture would pull it out, but I was not surprised when the right to the back of the ear dropped him like he did to Silvia a few months ago. I do give Randy credit. He tried to defend himself on count them 40 yes 40 shots to the head before the ref called it. We had it on Tivo and rewound and slow motioned it and counted them. Watching the fight Lesnar did pretty much handle any hold that Randy could try and throw at him. His ground game is vastly improved.
