Brought home a new ride yesterday
I rock my 94 Wrangler as a daily driver. I only live 8 miles from work so I just don't need a new car or a payment to drive 16 miles a day. I have my restored 68 Firebird for weekends and car shows/cruise nights. That being said, I'm a car guy and one can never have enough cars.
I've been looking for a T-top Fox Mustang to use as a fun cruiser and something to ride to work in on nice days thus saving miles on my Jeep. I thought it would be fun to have a V8, 5 speed car toride to work in on occasions. I do NOT take my Firebird to work.
I've looked off and on for the better part of a year. Just 2 weeks ago a buddy of mine told me about a custoer of his that was selling his 83 Mustang GT with T-tops and some mods. His wife is pregnant with their 1st and the car has to go.
So I checked it out and made an offer. He accepted and now I've got 2 nice old rides in my garage. It's an 83 Mustang GT with an 89 5.0. It has GT-40 heads, an E-303 cam, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Holley 650 carb, full length headers, off road H-pipe, and a Flowmaster catback. It's also got a 5 speed trans and a custom built Ford 9" rear with 3:89 gears. It's already got a 5 lug conversion but those Weld wheeld have to go. I'm gonna do a set of 17" newer Mustang Bullit wheels. It hauls a$$ and cruises nicely. I scored this ride for $3500.00 not too bad.
Check it out...
