Things are starting to look up, unfortunately we still have the folks who show up at walmart/academy/bass pro at 5am and buy every round of .223, 9mm, 45ACP, 22lr, etc. by now it is obvious enough that this AWB has failed and ammo should start showing back up. either that or the aforementioned folks are running out of money.

yes but those people buying it from the flippers will eventually run out of money!

I am hoping that once this is all over the market is flooded by ammo and lowers that these people were unable to sell for the prices they wanted.

Ammo is first to go, then reloading components. They all went. Reloading components are the first to come back, then ammo. Well, reloading components are slowly becoming more available, so ammo should start showing up with some regularity within the next month.

I have to admit BO has been good to the gun manufacturers pretty sly devil how he pulled that one off. I am thinking he has family money invested in Firearms companies somewhere down the line sneaky sneaky.

A few days ago the local wally had steel 5.56 and 22-250, 9mm, .17, 30-06, and a few other rifle cartridges. Not much, but a bit. No .22 or brass 5.56 yet.

Picked up a S&W M&P today and got 5 boxes of 9mm at Cabela's. Big improvement since the last time I stopped in and there wasn't a single new pistol on the shelves and the ammo was gone by 9:05AM.

local shop had 180rnds of 5.56 or 200rnds of .45 in ammo cans for $99
they had .223 and just about any other caliber in stock with 5 box limits
still no .22

gander mtn and bass pro have been useless unless you want 12ga target loads

Stopped in Cabela's again on the way home from work today and what do ya know there was still some 9mm ammo left on the shelfat 6PM. I'm thinking I might just buy another gun to celebrate. Had my hands on a Ruger Gunsite Scout .308. Nice rifle. It's calling my name. What was that? OK. I'll be right there....

I won't pick one up because I won't be able to put it back down. How did you do it?
