A Plug and Play dog. I need to get my wife one. She is allergic to dogs too. That is why I never replaced Nikki when she passed.

| Ah, mutts
You've seen some pretty good advice here already, but the rescue dogs are really the way to go. Find a good rescue organization. The dogs are usually being "fostered" by someone that cares and are well trained. Plus, you can trade them in if they don't work out. Only problem is that most rescues only do "full bred" dogs.
Other rescues do mutts (which I recommend). Hannah here was a rescue. She's the best and we picked her using the "that one" method. Which is best stated by picking a dog that acted like we wanted it to act at home.

They are great little dogs, friendly, quick, energetic and you don't see 5 of them everywhere you go. Plus, Tiny, it wouldn't look like you are walking a pony!

Find a dapple, or fawn color. Mine (pictured below) is very calm, friendly and loves standing on the edge of the seat in the jeep when the doors are off. He absolutely will now pee or poop on the floor, eats once a day (except the occasional peole food we sneak him ) and enjoys lounging in the couch. They do like to run and play as well. Best tempered small dog I've ever had. When we had Zues, mt shepard that died in 07, he thought he was just as big and wrestles with him all the time. Great fun. Meet Ceaser. He's 9 and they can get up to 16 or 17 years. |
