Call me sick but i am still laughing

i just got off the phone with my aunt. she called to let me know that they had an aweful morning this morning. my cousin who is 5 was playing with his hampster/gerbal in the living room. living in florida they had the ceiling fan on. he was tossing it up in the air having a grand ole time when he tossed it a little to high....well thats one little bugger that didnt last to long. Sorry if this offends anyone but i am just picturing it in my head and i cracked up when she told me about it.

the good news is my cousin was not to traumitized, my aunt made a good recovery sayin that he bumped his head and would need to go the vet...i guess she should tell him what really happend but, oh well.

Okay i'm sittin here crackin my ass up too. Just because I do the same thing with a nerf ball playing with the dog. He likes to chase it so I toss it up in the ceiling fan and it shoots whatever random direction. I'm picturing the hamster doing the same thing.

I agree, it's funny when you are on this side of it. My son's hampster died when he was 5. We had a small funeral for him in the back yard and there is still a small cross in the garden for him that he maintains.

It's a big thing at that age and they never forget.

Was the fan on high speed?

she said it was on high they were trying to get the heat moving in the house they were cold...puhlease its florida cold isnt a term i would use.

i had a cousin who used to have little birds and when the fans were off in the house they would fly up and sit on them and then we would turn the fans on and place bets on which one stayed on the longest. great cheep entertainment.

My daughter had two of them. My dog liked to play with them. He's 100Lbs and doesn't know his own strength. My daughter let it run around and left the room. He licked them to death. Dead and gooey!!! Yuk

When I was a kid, my brother had two hamsters. Well, they had babies, and babies, and babies... We found homes for the babies, then for the Momma but we couldn't find a home for the Daddy 'cause he was mean. My Mom really didn't like him so she turned him loose in the barn. I think she was figuring he'd make a nice, quick snack for one of the feral cats that lived in the barn. About a year later, we saw him again. He was about the size of a guinea pig and holding his own against two of the cats.
