Stay out of those little bars on the backstreets. You'll get in big trouble with the little woman!!!

Where are you staying?

I doubt if he will answer... I wouldn't.

Doing any diving while you're down there? There are tons of places that'll teach you if you don't know already. Ask for a "Resort Course" or a 1-day class. You'll get an abbreviated classroom session, a half-day pool session, and go out for (usually) 2 afternoon dives.....strictly guided, of course. Give it a shot and load some pics.

Congratulation, btw......

He better have or it wouldn't have been a proper honeymoon.

Looks like a smokin place, glad you all had fun. Now back to the grind of the world.

We did a couple a tours that rock! The Jungle tour, in the little "speed boats", and Isla Mujeres on a trimaran, got some outstanding snorkling on both trips!

the only courses we could find were 2 day courses, and we really didn't want to "waste" two days scuba diving. we did go snorkeling a couple times.

I would love to explore the old ruins and such. Someone told me once that tourists should never leave the resorts though. Some pretty big high crime areas nearby. I wonder how true that is.

Years ago me and a buddy used to go down into Mexico, get blitzed and lost for days at a time. We never went to the touristy areas. It was ok as long as you could communicate reasonably well and didn't act like an idiot. I've heard it's gotten pretty bad lately though.
