A full tank of gas and some additive for removing moisture might help in the future, but if some thing in the fuel line is frozen that wouldn't help till it warms up.

If the fuel in the tank is frozen its possible that the line is clear, an by adding fresh (warm from the ground) gas might melt whatever is in the tank.

Put a for sale sign on it. When sold, be a great friend and help him buy a Jeep. :P

he did put a few gallons of gas in it after it wouldnt start. 2 gallons i think. it does have a block heater. would it help if it was plugged in?

as for the for for sale sign ive been telling him foever to buy one. he has a love hate relationship with it. he wants me to drive so we can get to remote grouse spots and just plain fun. but he doesnt really want the 15 mpg of my jeep he likes the 35 mpg of the impala

I agree with a full tank of warmer fuel. Try the block heater. It won't hurt to try.

Fuel pump might be shot. Sh*t loves to break when it's real cold or hot out. Temps near me only get down to maybe 15-20 and I still keep no less than 1/4 tank of fuel.

What's the oil look like? If it's really thick from the cold that'll make start-up difficult as well
