Chicago Governor

Triple88a are you there? I know you're from Chicago and I want to hear from someone first hand what in the world is going on over there. Is this guy nuts or is the coruption so inclusive that he had no fear of getting caught?

he still doesn't have any fear of getting caught, he still says i didn't do anything wrong. every politician in this state is turning out to be rediculously corrupt.

but obama has nothing to do with it, and he's just putting all sorts of chicago associates of his in washington positions now. what was this country thinking.

I said the same thing about Obama. He got tied up with Resko and he didn't get where he is by being a saint. Our whole flippen state is corrupt and most of them are all related, it's like the damn mob.

Sad thing is that it has already cost us 20 something million dollars, this latest fiasco, isn't that great?

I like how Mayor Daly is keeping all mum in this too, which might be interesting.
Jesse Jackson Jr? I think he protests too much.

Stroger? He's another one that should just go to hell, an idiot riding on his daddy's name.

It's a proud moment for us Illinois folks.

It boils down to the election process, it's expensive to run a campaign and Obama took it to a whole new level. That crap should stop. The media should give coverage and they should not have ads/commercials etc and take the whole spending BS out of it. Perhaps then we could open the door for real people who might actually care to be in office for the people, not for personal gain or ego and get rid of the career politicians.

Evidently, the Senator and the Governor of Illinois never came into contact with each other? How does that happen? Can one REALLY be squeaky clean while the other is OBVIOUSLY corrupt? Makes a guy wonder.........

Chicago has had a long history of criminal leadership. It may have cleaned up here and there but you can go back as far as the Capone days and not much has changed.

Anyone see the movie "Gangs of New York"? This crap seem like it comes out of politics from the 1800's. I'm no that shocked that there are corupt politicians there, but that it seems so accepted in that part of the country and the politicians don't seem to be afraid of getting caught. In my experience, if they're not afraid of getting caught it's because law enforcement, judges and DA's are in bed with them too. That's a bad situation.

Since the election is over, my answer to all those types of questions has become, we'll just wait and see. I'm very fortunate that I have a recession proof job, but I have a lot of freinds and family who are having a rough time. I'm not an Obama fan, but I honestly wish him success in fixing the economy. His success would be our success and his failure would hurt a lot of people long after he is gone.
