Christmas presents!

Alright, I'm starting to get a bit pissed off with some of the crap they are advertising on NickJr and Disney. My 4 year old watches these channels, and I just can't for the life of me believe someone actually developed these terrible toys.

First one.. "Gooey Louie".. really? You pick his nose until his head explodes? Why would someone market this shit to kids when at this age most parents are trying to get their kids to STOP picking their nose...?

The next one... and I honestly thought for a minute there I accidentally changed the channel to a re-run of a Saturday Night Live episode doing this as a skit..

"Doggie Doo"

You feed the dog until it shits. Really. This is a "toy"...? WTF is the world coming to? What ever happened to yo-yos, BB guns, RC cars, barbies, baseball gloves, doll houses and teddy bears? Now the attraction is dog shit?

I can't believe these things even made it to production, let alone are being sold at Toys R'Us.

Same manufacturer for both games. I'm disappointed to say we actually own one of their games.. "Pop the Pig". Feed him burgers until he pops. At least it doesn't shit. LOL

I saw a commercial for that one a few hours ago. At first I thought they were running reruns for some old commercials. I couldn't believe that this is a new toy.

Lawn darts were one of the best games growing up. Nothin wrong with throwing big steel darts high into the air while all the kids are running the yard. P.S. I was like 7 at that time, 20 some odd years ago

Lol, I love how you lump BB guns in with teddy bears and barbies and yo-yo's while referencing toys for a 4 year old.

What do you mean? Your 4 year old doesn't have a bb gun?

I see how that sounded like I meant a bb gun for my 4 year old.. I meant kids in general... I had a bb gun when I was about 8 or 9 and loved it.. This is why I was thinking about it.. But yes, no bb guns for 4 year olds.

lol. I'm with you, FXnut. Some of the games marketed to kids are downright stooopid! Not only that, but once the new-ness/ funny has worn off, there is absolutely zero replay-ability.

My daughter turned 10 last month and, although she's still into 'Monster High', she's just about past most of that garbage. She's been really getting into crafty stuff lately; even making wallets & purses out of duct tape that she plans on selling.

For her birthday, I took her and a friend zip-lining, bought her a Pandora-style bracelet and some charms on Amazon, went out to a nice dinner with the whole family, and got her this as a 'surprise' gift

*Yes, we made a target out of the box that it came in.

OMG love this thread! Happy holidays! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I think I'm actually going to go out on Black Friday just to experience it. See everyone! Enjoy the world!
