July 01, 2014 - The all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, with its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® Hellcat engine, produces an unprecedented 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful Challenger ever, Dodge's most powerful V-8 ever and the most powerful muscle car ever.

The Challenger's new 6.2-liter Supercharged Hellcat engine is also the first factory supercharged HEMI, as well as Dodge and SRT's first application of V-8 supercharger technology. For the first time in Chrysler Group history, the all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with a Hellcat engine comes standard with two key fobs -- red and black. The red key fob is the only key that can unlock the full 707 horsepower and torque potential of the Challenger SRT Hellcat engine; while the black key fob limits the driver to a reduced engine output of 500 horsepower.

In addition to the awe-inspiring 707 horsepower of the new Hellcat HEMI, the new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been redesigned and totally re-engineered to be the most true-to-form muscle coupe on the market with performance-enhancing technologies inside and out, including the new TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-new interior inspired by the classic 1971 Challenger.

The Dodge and SRT brands now offer the most complete lineup of muscle cars in the market, including the new 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT with its standard powerful and fuel-efficient Pentastar V-6 engine combined with the TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission that delivers 300 horsepower and an estimated 30 miles per gallon; the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T with the high-torque 5.7-liter HEMI now paired with the TorqueFlite eight-speed or six-speed manual transmission; and the all-new 6.4-liter HEMI Challenger Scat Pack that delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque with the TorqueFlite eight-speed or six-speed manual.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger and Challenger SRTs are built at the Brampton, Ontario, Assembly Plant and will start arriving in Dodge dealerships in the third quarter of 2014.

They didn't give us pricing yet. I would say $80k or near that. We got a list of people at our dealership already wanting one...

"So it's got 707 horsepower," the nay-sayers, um... say about the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. "It's still a land yacht. It can't be that fast in the quarter." Today, I'm happy to report that yes, yes it is indeed fast in the quarter — 10.8 seconds fast.

Here's Two Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcats Doing Read more That's on street legal drag radials, according to this new video from Chrysler. Equipped thusly the Hellcat did the quarter mile in 10.86 seconds at 126 mph. The number has been NHRA certified.

Similarly, with its production tires, the Hellcat runs the quarter in 11.2 seconds at 125 mph, also certified. That's also fantastic.

Let's put that into context.
The Ford Shelby GT500 did the quarter in 11.6 seconds; the Camaro ZL1 did it in 12.1; and even Dodge's own SRT Viper, a more dedicated sports car with a much larger engine, did it in 11.7 seconds.

So when they call this the fastest muscle car ever, I'm inclined to believe them.

With over 700 hp I thought it would be in the 9's. My stock 1-liter Honda motorcycle was tested at 9.6 seconds in the quarter by a magazine a few years back.

Nice! Too bad I'll still beat it in a race. The Hellcat can pick half of the track, and I'll pick the other half

My man, you're comparing a 350lb motorcycle with a car? Apples and oranges.

Ditto. Plus the reigning king of the 1/4 mile for factory bikes is the "Busa" which if i remember right only manages somewhere in the 10's

That boat takes quite a while to overcome its weight. The 2009 CBR 1000RR does the quarter in 9.68 sec right off the showroom floor.

I don't know anything about Canadian auto workers, based on news reports, I certainly wouldn't want a drunk or loaded American auto worker assembling my Hell Cat.

Fastest "Muscle Car" is a play on words... The 1968 LO23 Dart would run 9s naturally aspirated - but you couldn't buy one of those off the showroom floor.

Big kudos to Dodge for raising the bar ... like they did in '64-'65 and '68.

I agree. I believe the 69 ZL1 would dip into the tens with proper gears and tires. Thats essentially what that car was built for as the dart.

They won't take employee discount, so I'm sure affiliates is out of the question.
