That's an old "T" trailer, a lot of us used to use em to haul our buggies out to the desert.

It has been modified, originally it wouldn't have had the ramps, you had a mount on the front beam of your buggy that attached to the main rail of the trailer so when you unhooked the trailer the front tires of the buggy would sit on the ground and you could roll it around.
The front end of a rail usually only weighs a couple hundred pounds.

Nope, they actually work very well. I used one for awhile myself.

what that man is selling is a joke and a very expensive one at that...i'd give him 50 bucks for that thing that he made out of an old close line post and 2 aluminum ramps...garbage i suppose
