Pretty much exactly what I'd do. Throw a TT on there for good measure too.

Yep and that can be done with a small body lift and one set of control arms. Wouldn't need a ds unless he did lift it. Since its rubi.

I love tthis Guy's jeep in my local club. Stock suspension, 1" bl, high line fenders from AEV, Tummy Tuck, 33" tires, and swayloc antisway bars

Oh and of course he's armored up underneath and has Currie steering. He kills blues and blacks easy.

Not a fan of the highline fenders. Everyone I've seen, just looks like everything was squeezed together. Jus my thought.

Don't we all wish we had that kinda cash? haha

Yeah to each his own. I love them though, should've come from the factory that way

Yeah he's for deeper pockets than I. Just that swayloc is like $700. For a sway bar.

See I like what he did but not the parts he used lol. I like the cost effective way. Just because it's expensive doesn't make it superior. The aev kit since it includes a hood costs so much. If I wasn't building off of minimum wage jobs I would be sittin on a nice rig. I hate knowing exactly what I want to do but not having the resources to do it, and not for lack of trying.

Yeah I hear you there, he just knows what he wants I guess.

I can definitely relate. It sucks not having the money to do stuff when you know exactly what you want to do. I just want a tummy tuck but don't feel like blowing apart my savings right before college.

Wow... Yeah, too expensive for my blood man.

Gotta question for y'all. I jus got my 33's on and I'm about to go to 4.88's for my (unfortunately) 4 banger. Ya think I need to upgrade my shafts to alloy or should they be fine? I've received many conflicting reports.

Of course I'm a weekend warrior, which is usually only select Sundays cus rugby takes up all my Saturdays. Nothing nasty, trails and some creek beds. Thanks.

We also have an Explorer that just.. well, exploded. haha Ironically has just about the same amount of miles as my Tj, so I think I'm gonna mock up the 8.8 outta the rear if nobody buys it from us. What do you think I should do then? Still go to 4.88's n upgrade the shafts?

You don't need shafts. Don't smash the gas or bounce your jeep on rocks full throttle or burnout. Get the 8.8 and swap in a front axle with matching gears to start.

For an 8.8 you need a sye/cv for the offset diff, unless your stock height then you might get by, and control arms to set the pinion angle. Along with the bracket kit unless you reuse stock brackets. Plus welding.

Only hard part is the shocks, any competent welder should be able to help you do those. so you have to pay him. But thats it. The high lines are time consuming but (easy) if you take your time and prep right. But seriously stock rubi, just toss a small suspension lift on there and some 33s and go rip crap up.

Cool, thanks man. I think I'll start to prep it to be welded here in a week or so.

Nice looking Jeep, our fire company has a few JKU's that they took the back seat out of and made storage compartments for things.

Just booked my flight for Texas, July 20th

More or less my plan. I wanna do at least 2 inch lift and do the rubicon locker mod are my first two plans. I can walk out now and do the locker mod but a little scared of it. Then I want to use Rokmen skids and high clearance belly pan. Which means I need 1" of body lift but I will most likely use a JKS 1.25 then I can run the 33 and then do highlines upfront then do a little cut in the rear and run flat flares.

Unless you do alot of modification in the rear I doubt you will even need to touch the rear fenders at all, even flat flares. Whats the rubi locker mod? The rokmen skids are nice, but name-brand skids are super expensive. That's why I will be building all of mine. Thats the step I am workin on now. Remember for the flat belly skid you are gona need the control arms to set the pinion angle, and a new shaft because of the operating angle of the DS, you might get by with no lift but with a 2 inch lift you will need it. Then a cable shifter linkage like novak. Stuff starts to get expensive fast.

Rubicon lockers can only be engaged in 4-LO and under 10 mph which makes them useful but also useless in some situations. So you bridge some wires and then youll be good. I would love to do some of my own fab but alas I am not good at this, I'm sure I could get it but just don't have to things to do it. Oh I know I will have to change other things. Rokmen control arms and Tom Wood Shafts. Blah blah blah. I know its a lot of money thus I have not do any of it yet lol

I thinking bout starting second job, just for that reason
I wouldn't, unless your not getting many hours now. Just ask for a few more where you work now. How many a week do you do now? I get about 30-40 depending on the week, but they are all 4-10 or 9 or 1-8 or 1-9, something like that. So I pretty much am never at home in the evening when the rest of my family is home, and when people want to do things. I would much rather work a morning shift job. I work an occasional 5-8am at work, but thats not much.
