It is commonly held as a belief that only 2 people on US paper currency were not presidents; this is sort of true. Alexander Hamilton was the 1st Secretary of the Treasury and is on the 10$ bill, while Benjamin Franklin, the first American, is on the 100$ bill. There is a third bill, no longer in circulation, which does not have a president. It was the 10,000$ bill and has Salmon Chase, the Secretary of the Treasury under Lincoln, on it. The back simply had "10,000" and the phrase "Ten Thousand Dollars".

A typical modern two-slice toaster draws from 600 to 1200 watts and makes toast in 1 to 3 minutes.

kinda true. The battle of Ramree Island. The British outflanked the Japanese and surrounded them in a mangrove swamp. Out of a thousand Japanese, only 20 survived the night.

The 1913 Liberty Head Nickel is worth 5 million dollars. Only 5 or possibly 6 were ever minted.

Lets "useless" that fact up a bit:

When writing, numbers ten and under are to be spelled out as words, while 11 or more should be represented by numeric digits.

Butcher's wart is a cutaneous condition with a prevalence of 8.5% to 23.8% among butchers and other meat-handling professions caused by a small group of viruses that infect the skin.

Daytona International Speedway is 2.5 miles (4 km) long and a 500-mile race requires 200 laps to complete. However, the race is considered official after half its distance (100 laps or 250 miles (400 km)) have been completed.

When frightened, the pearl fish finds a sea cucumber and hides its self in its rectum.

Besides being the title of the "movie" being filmed in the movie, "Argo" is from Greek mythology. It was the ship Jason and the Argonauts sailed in to retrieve the Golden Fleece.

1. An average snowflake is made up of 180 billion molecules of water.
2. Around 12% of the Earth’s land surface is covered in permanent snow and ice.
3. Each year an average of 105 snow-producing storms affect the continental United States. A typical storm will have a snow-producing lifetime of two to five days and will bring snow to portions of several states.
4. All snowflakes have six sides.
5. Rochester, New York is the snowiest large city in the U.S., averaging 94 inches of snow a year. 6. Chionophobia is a fear of snow.
7. Snow is actually colorless. What little sunlight is absorbed by snow is absorbed uniformly over the wavelengths of visible light thus giving snow its white appearance.
8. People buy more cakes, cookies and candies than any other food when a blizzard is in the forecast.
9. A blizzard occurs when you can’t see for 1/4 mile. The winds are always 35 miles an hour or more. The storm must last at least 3 hours to be classed as a blizzard. If any of these conditions are less, it is only a snowstorm.
10. The average snowflake falls at a speed of 3.1 miles per hour. (5 kilometers)
