Cookies Should Not Be Crunchy

Rant On.

Cookies are Gods gift to human kind. Nothing on earth is more comforting than a SOFT warm cookie right out of Ma's oven. This is not debatable it is fact. So... why do people bake cookies that are crunchy.

Why ruin the last one good thing on earth. Why torture someone with the smell of fresh baked Heaven just slam their manhood in the door.

I can understand if a cookie baker forgets and leaves them in a bit too long. But for God's sake don't give them to people.

Obama or Romney...I don't care about politics which one will pass legislation to ban crunchy cookies.

Rant Off...Unless you like crunchy cookies. In that case you are a Communist.

Your from the former Soviet Union but are you still a Communist? I am guessing you are no longer a Communist and then my comment is valid.

I may not be a communist per say but i would approve of it returning to Russia but thats a different story. Death to crunchy cookies, If Kennedy and Kruschev could agree on one thing im sure this would be it.

Anyone know why crunchy cookies get soft with time and soft cookies get crunchy? I think it's a plot.

The cookies reflect what kind of feelings you put into them. You have to bake them with love if you want them to be soft.

I am a bit of a Foodie; try these Chocolate Chip Cookies..
And guys, don't go handing this recipe to your girl. Put on your big boy underoos and get in the kitchen. Then tell us how you did.

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda (Think of this as the lift kit, more equals higher and less equals flatter. If you forget this you will end up with a cracker)
2 cups butter, softened (But not melted, just set the sticks out to room temp)
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix (yes you read it right)
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (The real stuff!)(Imitation vanilla is a chemically treated wood by-product)
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips (or chunks)
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional) (I like mine without, but I add these for my wife)

Some Assembly Required:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Bringing this back to life.

Cookies should never be crunchy, but have different ranges of chewy. Brand chewy cookies are gross.

But...the most important thing is the type. Can't tell you how many times in grade school people tried to trade cookies with little or no value.

Oatmeal Raisin for Cooler Ranch Doritos...not gonna happen.
Homemade cookies for Cooler Ranch Doritos...more likely.

I don't think so. IMO it's just a very bad cookie. Adding cheese to it kind of defines the cracker.

For the record...Trading an Oatmeal Raisin cookie for any type of chip should be a felony.
