Cool product for starting campfire

I had a chance to review the Firesteel 2.0 awhile back and it's become a "must have" item I carry with me everytime I go on an extended Jeep trip or hiking/backpacking trip into the backcountry. Check it out here:

I have one of the original ones. What are the main differences between this 2.0 model and the original model? The added grip/handle on the striker and the whistle?

Yeah, the grip and whistle are the big differences. It's a nice product that can be found for less than $20. I think someone found one on Amazon for $12.99.

I've got one in my bug-out bag. They work great. Couple it with a bit of steel wool and a magnifying glass and you're pretty much covered when it comes to starting a fire......
