I'm liken Jason Aldean lately. His latest "country" songs would have been considered hard rock back in the 70's.

Gotta love songs that talk about, Jacked up tail gate, big mud tires, Georgia clay, etc...

Oh, and that "International Harvester" song. I love it!!

He's one of a few newer artists bringing that old twangy country sound back to modern country music.

Also a big fan of Montgomery Gentry, Zac Brown, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, meh...I could go on and on.

Edit: nm...just noticed Jamey Johnson was FINALLY mentioned a couple posts up. lol
lol finally, it was 9 am lol

My favorites are Anything by all country artists from the 1930's until today with the exception of anything by any member of the dixie chicks. ( can't stand em)
But I prefer music from the 50's 60's 70's and 80's best, unless it really rocks my Jeep
Although if I can ever get a copy Toby Keith singing the United States National anthem, THAT WILL be played each day when my colors are raised!

Craig Morgan is one of my favorites too. Besides the good music, you got to love an Army Ranger turned country singer... (Kris Kristofferson was an Army Ranger too, not bad company for Craig Morgan)

My "favorites" are : Clint Black, Mark Chesnutt, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Aaron tippin, etc. Anything that doesn't sound "pop" to me (think: Taylor Swift, shes a sweet lady but not country music IMHO). I mainly like the country from the 80's and 90's....with a little of today's music from Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Jamey Johnson (favorite by him is "In Color") and the like.

I am 28, so that was the most popular that I listened to. I listen to more country music today than I did when I was a teenager, I guess due to me having kids, "some" of todays music doesn't seem suitable for my children, but I digress

Oh I forgot as for modern music I like the style of Arron Tippen, Lee Greenwood, And all the modern ones that aren't afraid to say God, mother, farms work and pride in Nation

Just today at work I was listening to a typically over produced country song on the radio and then it hit me...."damn that's Hootie singing (aka Darius Rucker). Man that was some garbage. All his songs remind me of a Craig Morgan whom I also don't like btw.

& what the heck ever happened to David Lee Murphy?

Glad I'm not the only that doesn't like him. Didn't like Hootie, either.

I liked this group a lot... but they just don't seem to be taking off.

This is probably one of my all-time favorite country songs... a bit overplayed, but I heard it at a time when I was really depressed and I just loved the message it sent to people.
