At the Begining of April I started building My new garage got the footer in ,block layed .And with the rising cost of lumber.I ve been searching for deals on CL.Well here it is A 28x30 shell for a $100 I have a little bit more work involved ,But who cares
So, are you going to fill in the foundation? I ask because there appears to be doors and windows in the "basement" area. What will you use for a floor in the garage area if you don't fill and pour concrete?
Looks great though. You only have $100.00 in the whole thing?
Im just a little excited ,this is what I will be tearing down and moving to my site and rebuilding.with my block and footer Im at 2800 .the OSB for this will be a grand .Im only really saving about 600 going this route.
It definitley pays to look around My dad was an old carp he'd take any thing you were throwing out but some how he would find out when they were demolishing a building and we would go down and strip all the T-111 and electrical conduits and what ever else they would give him.I spent many a saturday stripping wire and pulling nails out of ply wood.
Here is what I got, After 4 mos of building and searching CL .Im almost done for this round .work has been slow ,running out of money.
floor ,lift and elec next year.
24'x30'/ 12'ceilings for less than 7000bucks
the very fist post is what I got for a 100 bucks ,this is what I salvaged for my shell .everything else is new
after we get married and she starts her job after graduation in december we will be looking for a house with at least room for 4 cars if not more. so we will see. I'll probably end up building too, I'll be back for pointers!
