Crisis Actors

I have been deploying to the Middle East regularly ever since terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center. As a result, I have been in situations where I was actually pretty close to some action, watched it with my own eyes, and then watched the news report about it later and the news report was not exactly what happened. I have even been witness to CNN embellishing a news story. That one was the worst because I called home just to let my mom know I was ok and the main reason I called was because CNN greatly exaggerated what happened. Lately I have been watching lots of YouTube videos about crisis actors and hoax news reports. There seem to be a bunch of them out there involving Sandy Hook and the Boston Marathon bombing. What do you guys think? Do you think there is legitimacy to these claims? Some of them present logical reasoning behind their conspiracy claims, yet others seem to be way out there. The videos I find most interesting involve the crisis actors. The same people interviewed at totally separate tragedies. Scared people are easier to control, or so the saying goes. Is the media embellishing just to make news more "interesting" or is something bigger going on?

Wow, brother, respect for coming out here in the open and asking it. You and I have a lot in common, we see things in our own eyes, and see something totally different on the news. I'm not the kind of person to go on forums or online websites to express my personal opinion of worldy situations to this extreme, but I spent a lot of time in the Middle East, lived in Lebanon for many summers, and I will say that I've seen things happening there that no one in this country would understand. All we hear is what were told, and we live by it. It seems that me and you have seen things that wouldn't make sense to people here. But I'm just rambling, I mean who are we? Just two guys on a forum talking about stuff we've seen that the news doesn't talk about, or over exaggerates, were just looked at as crazy people. And to answer your question, lets just say I feel there's some foul play in alot of today's "crisis" but im glad there's another person who feels how I do, now I don't feel as crazy.

The rabbit hole goes much deeper than you think.

First and foremost, my most sincere gratitude for your service. I learned to hate the sandbox in the 90s...

I heard a term about the media," If it bleeds it leads"... They do whatever it takes to please advertisers. Patriotism isn't on their radar..

I was deployed on the Kitty Hawk, post 911 and actually saw a shot of our ship from an embedded CNN crew on another ship in our task force on AFRTS...
