D-Rings

Has anyone else had d rings stolen off there jeep? If so what's the best way to make sure it doesn't happen again? I put lock tight on the rest of them. I also thought about JB weld.

I just crank down on them. If someone wants to steal them they'd need tools to loosen them.

May not have been stolen, but the bolt worked loose and it fell off. I think that's what happened to one of mine. Lost one on the left rear corner, and the one on the right was loose, bolt almost backed completely out. I'm pretty sure it wasn't stolen. Took all of them off except for the hitch mount and put them in the storage box.

That's what people have been saying. But I live in a really bad part of Dallas. And last week some kids were throughing rocks at stuff and I started yelling at them, because my jeep was right there. So it wouldn't supprise me if one of those kids just took one. But who knows. It was a 13$ fix.

Just keep them in the recovery/tool bag. Itll really suck when you JB weld them, and then you actually need to use them on the trail...they wont come off as fast as you would like them to. Anything you do to make them harder for others to take off...also makes it harder for YOU to take them off. Save yourself the headache

What about the high lift jacks. What the best place to mount them. I really like the hood mount. But that would suck if it came up missing.

I think most brackets will have some way to lock it up...such as a hole that you would run a lock through.
