How about a big stick to beat your ass with because you're always surfing the net instead of working.

That really is a hard type of person to buy gifts for. Any special tools or gadgets he can use for work?

ok, change of topic.

i was just outside listening to my hubby's new super 44 OR muffler that he just installed (sounds awesome btw) and i saw all of his tools laying around. this gave me an idea. my dad was just complaining about how all of his socket wrenches are broked. can any one recommend a new socket wrench set that i can get? i want a good set like snap-on or matco. can i get those in a store? if so which ones? are their any other good (& made in the USA) tool brands out there that i am not thinking of?

Sanp-on and Matco will both come to you if you call them. I wouldn't buy Snap-on though. Its very pricey and the quality isn't any better.

i have always liked craftsman. most of my dad's tools are craftsman, but they seem to leave a lot to be desired since k-mart got their grubby little mitts on them. maybe i'm wrong, but they just don't seem to be what they used to be. do you think i'll be ok getting him a craftsman? the tools get used everyday all day.

Craftsman makes a couple of different grades of tools and still has some descent stuff. jeepdoc would know what tools are good and reasonable.

The ones your looking for are the Craftsman Professional line of tools. You can view them at sears.com I recently ordered about $2400 worth of tools from sears for my tool box at work. Out with the old and in with the new.

Yes, the GearWrench ratcheting wrenches are very nice and their sets are more complete than everyone elses. I got a set in last week. I just wish I had some for my box at home.
