Damn Rain!

I got up this morning to a lake inside my bedroom. It seems that the drains in the planter outside of my bedroom plugged up and the water came in through the wall. I spent two hours digging out the planter and clearing the drains. I had a flood repair company out this morning and it's only going to cost me $1,800 to fix. Now there is a man (with about half of his teeth remaining, I might add) in my bedroom tearing out the bottom two feet of drywall along the outside wall and taking out the padding and tack strips. Then, he is going to set up the fans and dehumidifier that will run for the next four days. Insurance of course will not cover any of it because it is "Flood damage".

Holy Crap! This is California for God's sake, it doesn't rain here!

Well, there goes the tummytuck, new driveshaft & sye, and ox lockers I was going to get for Christmas. Now I'll be getting new drywall and dry carpet. Woo Whoo!

I hope everyone else is having a better day. I should be writing a paper that is due on Monday right now, but I think I'm going to start drinking early today instead.

Wow, Brian, that sucks... and I thought spending a couple hours in the rain digging out the gutters was a bad deal.

Cool. IT was nice snow up there, but my favorite places are Big Sky, Jackson Hole, Grand Targe, Squaw Valley and Vail. If you ever get a chance you need to ski Banff. That place is awsome, Just a bit far from me to travel now.

Oh that sucks! I just got out of the house I was in to get an apt. I know it's a downgrade but it depends on how you look at it.
