Dealing with death in the family

For those of you out there who have older grandparents or parents or anything, don't take them for granted.

Late last week I received a phone call from my mother informing me that my grandmother was in the hospital for unknown issues. Friday evening she was diagnosed with a very aggressive blood cancer.

A few minutes ago I got the call. She passed peacefully.

If you haven't today, tell those you love that you love them.

Muriel Wilson, RIP. You are loved and missed.

All this happened over the course of *maybe* 6 days. She swam 3 times per week, exercised and ate right her entire life. A month ago her and I sat down for breakfast together.

Like a light switch being turned off, her life was extinguised. It could happen to anyone at any time.

Sorry to here that. My Great gma passed this year as well. 96!

She lived a good life as I'm sure your gma did as well.

It's been a hard year for a lot of older folks with the hard winter everyone got.

RIP

Best celebration with my family I've ever had was at her funeral. I know that sounds weird but we all got together after the funeral and went to the bar. I had never drank with the majority of my family but we closed down the bar and had a blast. Now we are closer than ever!

I'm sorry for your loss, GD.. We do tend to take those close to us for granted. Sad as it is. Hug someone you love everyday, and tell them you love them, and mean it.
