Defense Cuts...Part 3

For those who demand a balanced budget at any cost...here is one of the probable costs.

The number of defense related jobs that would simply vanish cannot easily be counted. The unintended consequences...THAT is the big cost.

Just as a point, I am all for getting our Federal budget under control. It has to happen, though it has to happen in conjunction with the 50 State budgets otherwise the mess will expand, rather than contract [there already is another $3Trillion in State/Local debt].

I am much more interested in it being done by way of a calculator and scalpel, after looking down the road at all the consequences rather than with a case of beer and a chainsaw, which is what we have seen suggested by some who simply provide percentages, timelines and nothing in the middle.

Politicians really shouldn't be involved at all. :-)
