Deployment

Hey all...

If you would, please send up a prayer or some good thoughts for my stepson and his Force Recon unit. They were deployed today for about seven months. He's an amazing leader and a damn fine Marine, and I know he'll serve our country with honor. My husband is all a mess, but I managed to remind him that Jake came back from Iraq in one piece (plus some shrapnel) and he'll come back in one piece again. His wife is handling it well so far, and his two sons are too young to understand yet. They will soon enough.

Thanks!

1 Deliver me from my enemies, O God;
be my fortress against those who are attacking me.
2 Deliver me from evildoers
and save me from those who are after my blood.

First, I would like to send thanks to him for his service. I have A LOT of respect for our soldiers! Without American men such as him, we would not be able to enjoy the things we do.

Second, prayers are sent your/his way from down here in West TX

Thoughts and prayers… God,
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties.
Protect them with the shield of your strength
and keep them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home
in safety, that with all who love them,
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
God bless your family and Jake.
Thank you Jake for your service to our country.

Thanks, everyone. He called when he reached his destination, and we couldn't be more thankful for modern technology!
