Disc golf...anyone else play?

I know, judging by the screen name of one member, someone does.

I played it a few times in like 1983 when I was visiting my sister in Louisville and haven't seen any courses since then. Figured it faded away. I stumbled upon a course they just built near me and started playing. I figured I wouldn't go all geek and tried playing with a 175G Wal Mart special Wham-O. That lasted one round and i was off to Play it Again Sports.

So, if you do, where do you play and how serious are you? My home course

I've been known to toss a few plates around. I've played, Redding, Chico, Rocklin, Modesto, Santa Cruz...but I think my favorite is just make up your own course. Go out late night to a business park and go for it. They are generally well lit but you do tear up some discs. So you should have some old ones to toss around.

Good times.

I think frisbee golf is one of those sports that's more fun to make up as you go along than it is to organize. I play with family and friends sometimes, around the house/woods. The more random/unique the target, the better.

/Have to bounce OFF the exhaust stack and land IN the tractor cab. On the same shot, can't split up the objectives.

Aunt Flow we play around campus at night we call it Urban. We just meet up at a spot pick the first hole. Then the winner of the hole picks the next one. But we play with cheap whamm-o discs from walmart or Dick's.

I bought a new disc paid like 17 bucks for it. I was super pumped, I get to the first hole and had brain fart. I am a lefty and there was water to right (a lake ha). So I get up to the tee box and power backhand like a ding dong. That disc flies straight and then startes to fade to right and went like 30 yards into the lake. I wasnt happy should have forehand but oh well. ha

I've lived in Florida my whole life and have only been out of Florida once. Me and my fiance went to visit her dad in North Carolina and that's the only time I've ever played it. It was pretty awesome! Makes me wanna plan another trip up there just to play it.
