Do you have Sonic Drive-Ins where you live?

I have never been a big fan of Sonic…

There are a few things I like about what they serve for instance, their Lime-aide slushy makes a decent quickie margarita just add Jose Cuervo 1800 and “BAM” Instant Margarita…

But I digress; the reason I’m writing this is to tell you I have a new favorite drink. I’m sure it I would be negligent in my responsibilities to all of you if I fail to share this with you.

You have got to try their new Peach Smoothie it Rocks!

I would almost give up drinking beer if I could have this all the time.

A few years ago they made a Raspberry Shake that was pretty good but it won’t hold a candle to this New Smoothie. If you are the slightest bit of a fan of Peach Flavor you will go nuts over this drink.

Go get one for yourself and buy one for all you buddies you can THANK ME tomorrow.

.

Yep got them here, Girlfriend loves them, I have begun to get sick of them. I guess when we stopped every time we left the house together because she wanted a #2 cheeseburger and a route 44 cherry limeaid it got old. I just might have to swing by and get one of those though.

Now we have an expert involved.

Thanks to the South Texas Drought the Fredericksburg Peach Crop has been cut by over 75% this year.

So Sad!

We are all waiting to hear back from you after you have your smoothie.

You know, I read somewhere that most of the oranges used in orange juice come from GA not FL.

as for the orange thing, idk about that, but if it's true, i'm sure the oranges are grown in south GA, right near the FL border, where the climate is better.... i thought about gettin one after class tonight, we have a sonic near the college, but i was more concerned with dinner, so i went straight home

Hey RebelBullDawg,
I'm not sure that tasting those kind of GA peaches qualifies you as being an expert on the fruit.

Edit - on the orange thing...I can believe that
Once you pass Tifton headed south, you are constantly passing either a citrus grove, a pecan grove, cotton fields or turf grass.
Thats really about all you'll see.

Yeah, it is.

On a more serious note. I tried one of those Peach Smoothies at lunch. Not bad. Not bad at all. As a matter of fact, its almost as good as some homemade peach ice cream.

Talking Do I have a problem?

This is what someone wrote me on a another Forum...

Soon, you will be a smoothie-ho', standin on the corner of the block, in front of your favorite Sonic, looking to do 'odd' things for enough change to get a peach smoothie.

That, of course is utter conjecture though as I have no basis of knowledge in this area. No really. :blahblah:
That's not me If I was a Peach Smoothie-a-holic I would know...RIGHT?

Uh Greg, I think you passed Smoothie-a-holic when you started buying more than 1 at a time.

You can comeon out to AZ and go to rehab in tucson. I heard there are several celebrities starting to recover from the smoothie madness.

You know; I could come out for the Canyon De Chelly JJUSA next year and we could sip in Peach Smoothies on the trail!

This sounds like a much better idea than Rehab.

Today I bought a Peach Smoothie at a Sonic two miles from my dealership then decided to go fill me Jeep with gas. Guess what; there was another Sonic next to the Gas Station so I killed the one I had and bought another one before I got back to the office.

Now I know I have a problem because all my co-workers think I just bought one.

I'M HIDING MY PEACH SMOOTHIE PROBLEM

Just got back and had one, they are pretty good. I might have to frequent them more often. Bad part was the brain freeze I got in the middle of traffic.

Back in the day; before I became a Smoothie-a-holic, that would happen to me from time to time. It's like working-out... you have to pace yourself.

A Smoothie related injury could be embarrassing to explain to your family.

Is it an Old School A&W or one of those new ones?

I remember when I was a Boy Scout; we would go on backpacking trips in the Gila National Wilderness in New Mexico. The Troop would drive there from El Paso through Silver City New Mexico.

There was the A&W in this ridge a round building with glass all the way around furnished with a round stone & copper flew fireplaces in the middle. There was this awesome view and of the Gila and as I recall fantastic food…

(4 or 5 days of freeze-dried food might have affected my judgment)

It might have been the fact that it was the last time we would eat real food for the next five days. Or our first meal on the way out of the wilderness each time we made the trip.
We would bookend our trips there with burgers, and root beer floats before and after our camping/back-packing trips.

Have any of you ever been there?
  • Indian Cliff Dwellings
  • Lake Roberts
  • Snow Lake
  • The Meadows
  • The Catwalks
  • The upper and middle fork
  • Little Bear Canyon

God; those were the days!

In fact come to think about it is on those trips that I was first exposed to the Jeep + Recreation experience.

Talking Breakfast Smoothie...

It's two days in a row I have stopped at Sonic for a Peach Smoothie on the way to work...(For Breakfast)

I wonder if they would let me add dietary supplements to it.
