First HALO jump was in the sixties(non combat HALO) and it was done at 100,658 ft I believe... Did it from a weathe balloon. Hit max velocity of 250mph.
First combat HALO jump was done by SOG.

yeh i kept telling myself that guy is just plain stupid LOL... i did get alittle light headed watching that video.

and btw ^^^^^ the people in the tents arent as crazy as the guy taking the picture!!!!! thats just crazy.

and nice video of the kittinger jump, never heard of that before.

You know, I like heights. I really do, but this is just crazy! good for those guys. I work off a 75ft Truck Company, and I thought that was cool.

I'm not sure why, but I think I could do the high parachute jumps (not the insane one in that video, though) easier than the climbing.

I think it has to do with this: on the jump, you know you're going to fall. That's the whole point. With the climb, you're spending all that time working hard not to fall.
