Double Barrel Shotgun side by side

I am trying to figure out the kind and worth of my Granddads shotgun. only issue is the stock is "F---" up on the end. its really long, loud and kicks like a mule. as far as i know he had it a while, before i came along and i used it some 50 years ago as a teen.

here are some pic's. if anyone knows for markings to look for and where so i can determine more info about it, i would appreciate it. thanks.

I cant see the pics but I had an old side x side with a bad stock and because of it, the value wasn't squat. So it became a wall hanger in my gun room.

There's something stamped to the right and below the hammers...also the barrel should have some sorta proof mark and gauge...looks like a 10 gauge?

I can't see the pictures. I suggest that you check around with friends and the internet, find a good gunsmith, and take it to him and see what he says. It might cost you, but that way you will know for sure.
