Im thinking about the Droid, does anyone have anyy experience on it? I know the maxx has a better battery & have read reviews that confirm that.

I got one for my wife last Christmas - she loves it. It's got a huge, clear screen, amazing battery life, and Google Now is fantastic.

It's a big phone, makes my MotoX look small!

I've had one for a couple of months. I was sick of the poor battery life on my last phone and decided to just make that as little a problem going forward as possible, even if it meant sacrificing a couple of other bells and whistles. It's awesome, and while it is fairly wide it's not thick compared to my previous Droid 4 and Droid 2 at least.

Has it locked up on you yet? I heard that was a downfall of droid, but I dont know that for sure.

Neither my wife's Maxx nor my MotoX has had a single hiccup since we got them last December.

I had a couple of issues prior to the last software update where sometimes upon powering up it wouldn't ever hit wifi or a cell tower, but haven't had that issue after the update.

I have a droid maxx and can personally attest to it being a great device. Android updates are quick and it is pretty much stock android (no ridiculous skin on it). I've had a device from all the major manufacturers and generally Motorola devices are the best (only if they don't have the old motoblur skin) in my opinion. With this being said I wouldn't get the maxx at this point. The better route would to be to wait for the second generation moto x. You can see it on Motorola's website and initial impressions are it is an improved moto x (the same hardware as the maxx).
