I'm just starting to research e-cig's so bear with me if this has already been answered.

Do those of you that vape "feel" better? Meaning, has your lung function improved (no longer winded, no more 'smokers cough', etc.)?

It has made me feel better, Knuckles. I wasn't a heavy smoker, about a 3 pack a week. I did cough up some nastiness for after vaping about a week, I guess was clearing out my lungs. Lungs feel better, no smokers cough in the morning to clear my through, running times have improved.

I'm not saying its preferable to NOT smoking, or for a non-smoker to pick up, but I feel much better since I switched, and I'm not a grumpy a-hole having nicotine withdrawal.

Well I finally tossed the old Genesis for a AGA-T2. Also been fooling around with a IGO-L dripper.
Friend kept pushing me to try a dripper and it's nothing like I expected. I thought I had to keep loading with juice. Not the case at all. A few drops last a good 4-5 puffs. Tried both a single and dual coil w/ organic cotton for wick.
The AGA uses a mesh wick, I try for 1.5 ohms using 30 gage wire.
Still working on increasing vapor production, seems drilling the air hole open helps. Now it's messing with wic material and ohms. I can't control voltage with a set mech PV. Maybe down the road I will upgrade. PG/VG %'s make a difference too. I prefer more PG for flavoring. 75/25 is what I am using currently.
Comparing the two. The dripper produces awesome flavor. Using high voltage burns cleaner requiring less nicotine. I started using 24mg, using 11 and my next order include a 6mg sample. My goal is 0 and to quit totally

Juice -
I don't care for fruity flavors. Sweet/Tobacco flavoring is about all I vape. Always been a huge RY4 (Tobacco, Carmel, vanilla) or 555 (tobacco, nutty)
My go to place was MVS but now on the search to find a better RY4
Last order was front Mount Baker vapor. Let me tell you. The RY4 and 555 both tasted like crap. Even after a week steeping. I was given a small sample of butter scotch and that was pretty good actually.
I'm waiting for a order from Janty who supposedly has a original RY4 recipe. Will keep posted.

Couple pics

Hell yes ...

The only chemical that really stays in your body is the nicotine. Yes there's going to be small trace amount of carcinogens from burnt liquid. Most of it is expelled as vapor. Hence vaping
You will feel so much better after a few days.

A friend of our has been vaping for a few years and he's gone from 2 packs a day to 2mg. of nicotine juice.

He's a firm believer in vaporshark.com products. He's had no issues other than the normal "wear and tear", never anything leaking, good battery life, etc. I think we (wife and I) might give it a shot. As for juices, I tried his and it was a fruity flavored juice and I have a huge sweet tooth...this just might be the ticket to put regular cigs down for good. I've been a smoker for 30 years!

I haven't had a cigarette since I got my new juices, and my aqua/origin. rebuilding your own coils gives you so much more customization of how you vape. I feel better already, having not smoked for only 1 week.

have a kayfun lite clone, and trident v2 clone on the way. can't wait to try the dripper(trident). been rebuilding my aqua with better and better results.

was using a non rebuildable from vapor4life, and I basically just used it at work, when I couldn't smoke. but with this new mech mod/rba, all I wanna do is vape.

got some new juice from velvet cloud vapor. (100% vg). the vanilla custard is delicious, and ice beard is a decent menthol type vape. ordered four more juices from them.

more later.

I thought this was a Jeep forum....now start talking lifts and mods and transfer cases or I'll........take another hit on my SVD, better than the Vamo which I liked. Whole family has been vaping about a year. Mix our own juices and definitely saved money from not smoking the analogs. May seem expensive at the start, but the suggestion of ECF forum, is a good one. Seems like they're talking Chinese at the start, but like here you pick up some knowledge after a while. Names chimsweep on ECF. One year this Sunday, the 2nd. I have a pack and a half in the bedroom and have had almost no desire to light one. There are two things to deal with here.....the nicotine addiction and the mind f..., it's usually the mind that gets people. When you have smoked for over 35 years at least a pack a day...it's take something to break that habit. I was just perusing this forum and came across this thread, but ECF is the place to go for real experience and help. Good luck to all and vape on.

I smoke a little more then a pack a day.

I tried the blue ecigs. I got the 40 dollar(?) starter pack from walmart. They honestly weren't that bad. I don't remember exactly how long a cartridge would last but If I remember it was about 3 or 4 days(might not be accurate, this was a few months ago). I still have 2 left because the pack stopped charging, so I gave up on e cigs in general. But 2 maybe 3 week experience I had with them wasn't all bad. I did feel a bit better, but it was just nothing like a real cigarette to me. I smoke marlboro reds and really it felt like I was smoking a light all the time using them. I wasn't really trying to quit either, im only 19 and have been smoking since 16 and enjoy it. My father got them for me to just try cause he hates the habit, he stop smoking 7 years ago.

If I was trying to quit I probably could have stuck with it and been fine.

The other use occasionally is Marlboros snus, maybe a pack a week of that at most. Its a pretty good alternative I think. I tried it when I bought another jeep and it has several packs in it and I didn't have money for cigarettes at that time, kept me from nicotine withdrawls nicely and I wasn't out side every 45 minutes.

And really if your trying to quit all together its super hard(as you all probably know) but I was addicted to heroin for about 2 years and I kicked that habbit(clean since sept 3 of last year) I had to quit smoking while I was in rehab and that was way harder, they even supplied gum and patches to help, needless to say after being nicotine free for nearly 15 days and being fine with it, I started again. As most people who know that tell me im an idiot and I should have just been done.

wellsr I tried the Blu type cigarettes for a while and they just didn't satisfy. but since I got a rebuildable atomizer and a mech mod(basically a battery holder) I can adjust the strength of the vape, and refill with whatever liquid I want, with whatever nicotine strength I want, and it has made all the difference. I advise you to get a vamo v5 for 56 dollars from myvapestore and an iclear30s atomizer at 1.8 ohms or so for around 20 bucks and some e-juice from copper creek, house blend at about 18mg nicotine strength for like 10 bucks.
If you like that I would then get a kayfun clone to rebuild to your liking. go on YouTube, there are tutorials for everything.
if you don't like it you can resell it all on Craigslist or eBay.
But be careful, it may become an obsession.

Yea I hear you, I found my self pulling on the blus all day non stop. But a lot of my friends have ecigs set up like that and they are no doubt better, but I didn't have a lot of experience with them so I didn't say anything about them, just a puff or 2. Maybe in a few weeks I'll try something more advanced like that for fun, like i said I'm not really trying to quit(smoking a cigarette now lol)

I would give a lot to go back in time to when I was 19 and put a vamo v5 in my hand(I'm 35 and smoked a pack a day since I was 15).

The Blu's and others like it are, in my opinon, worthless. I tried them 4 times to no avail. Got into vaping mods, and bingo! Still using juice with nic in it, but have cut down on mg, and it's a new hobby. Got a Vamo V2, a box mod, and a pipe. Down to 2 flavors I like from a local shop. Swap them between tube mod and pipe, and no cigs in 5 months. Not even a craving. Don't even use tobacco flavors anymore. Cinnamon, and a light menthol. Which is odd, because I hated menthol cigs.

night marcher, i see you are using a protank with a mech mod like mine(origin). I just got two protank 2's and they are both leaking on me. I was thinking its because I'm pushing up on the center pin when i use the kick at the bottom. have you had any issues w this?

e-cigs helped me quit my smoking habit of a pack and a half a day. I smoked for a bit over 2 decades. I used e-cigs (brand was V2) for about 2/3 or a year and then quit them as well. I stared up again back in November as I really wanted to smoke again for some reason. This time I used an iTaste V3 VV and a Kanger ProTank Mini. Nothing fancy, but it does the job. I'll probably kick e-cigs it again this Spring when there's more opportunity to get out of the house -vs chain-vape in the living room. I like e-cigs, but it seems like they make it illegal to vape in more and more places every day. I'd guess they will eventually get more costly as .gov gets more serious about regulating them and big tobacco co-opts them as a replacement revenue stream to a greater degree. I'd like to be out of them by then, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick them back up if it was what kept me from smoking again.

What i do is just switch between nicotine and non nicotine liquid. I have two tanks, one for nicotine and one for non nicotine. When i have a craving i throw the nicotine tank on and take a few puffs then switch to the non nicotine tank and just puff on that one. Eventually i won't have any more cravings for nicotine and I'll just puff on it for flavor and something to do.

Was at a diner last night, and the fire alarm goes off. Turns out the e-cig shop next door had so much vapor in the air that it tripped the smoke alarm...

Been rocking twisted 30 wire, 10/11 wraps @ 1.5 ohms. So far my best setup. Duals work nice but juice disappears fast. New all day vape, SOHO from Nicquids. Kinda like a 555. Very good !!!

My latest creation. Seeing a lot of the Kayfun light around lately

I started vaping 2 years ago and couldnt be happier about it. I feel 100x better and more money in the pocket (actually in the jeep). I went through a bunch of batteries and tank combos and flavos of juice. I finally settled on a Ego Variable Voltage battery with passthrough and a Vivi Nova Mini tank with either cookies n' cream or an apple/strawberry 50/50 mix.

I try to convince any smoker who ASKS me about the vape experience as it is significantly better. When i switched i REALLY wanted to quit the analogs and advise them that is the key to quitting.

I still plan on quitting nicotine alltogether as it is addictive and who wants a dependancy? Maybe when my jeep is in all working order

I've been thinking about trying nicquid's juices. the description of soho sounds right up my alley. can't stop vaping cheesecake torte by Highbrow Vapor right now.
Waiting on my first shipment of Boba's Bounty, and Gorilla Juice from Alien Visions Juice. One of the most talked about juices on the ecig forum.
I plan on vaping for a while, I'm in no hurry to quit right now. I think I'm enjoying it too much!

Anybody have a good tank they recommend? I've tried the Iclear 16 & 30, protank, protank II, and I'm currently using a unitank. Except for the unitank I've had problems with flooding and/or dry hits, the problem with the unitank is the lack of flavor.
Any help would be appreciated.
