E U R E K A ! ! !

I think I may have found a solution to our posting of hunting stories, pictures and chat on the forum. Since we do NOT want to offend those who fequent the forum - who do not regard our grissly tales and talk highly, let's form a buddy list. Simply respond to this thread if you want on the list, and then each member who wants to join the buddy list can copy the names into his own personal buddy list under "userCP". When you have info or discussion to share, you simply go to your buddy list, private message all the members of the list and HOWDY DOODY
we have our own private little Hunter's Haven. Then our shameful acts of debauchery and pagan rituals concerning the slaughter of chipmunks, mice and cute cartoon creatures will remain among us perverts only.

I think you guys should should run a thread with an image warning, and go for it. Then people who don't want to see kill shots can be forewarned and can avoid the thread.

Good idea. Just seems like it may be easier to run a thread with the disturbing image warning.

Didn't know that there was such an animal. (oooh, sorry, bad choice of words) Just thought a buddy list would keep anyone from accidentally running up on the thread and not liking it. Besides, we might want to talk about you on the pm.... JUST KIDDING!!!

You might be right. That's good thinking.

I definetly don't want to stand in the way of anyone's discussion and enjoyment of the forum, so if a thread would work better, I'd surely just steer clear of it, and probably the ones who feel kinda like me.

Just a suggestion, you could create the thread and in the subject line, you could include "disturbing image warning'. Most people who have spent any time on the net would know what that meant. Of course, the images aren't really that disturbing probably. But we should make an effort to protect the ones who don't have the stomach to see it, kinda like me.

Your buddy list has strong merit though. I like that you are thinking about the membership as a whole. Go for it, if that is the way you want to do it.

Well, it seems you can only send 5 people a private message at one time, so that kind of kicks THAT in the head.

both good ideas

They are both good ideas but a seperate thread with a warning might be better because not only the tall tales and pics of the hunt can be shared but also modifications to jeeps geared towards hunting and fishing can be discussed. Not all of us are into rock climbing with outrageous suspensions.

If you all want to run a private chat, I'm in, but I feel it would be better with the warning. That way, anyone who wasn't with us at the beginning can join the hunting stories (with graphic images thread) and we can keep it open (and hopefully friendly).

Yeah, yall create the thread whenever yall get ready. I would put something like "Hunting Picture Warning" (or something like that)in the title of the thread. Something along those lines.

It doesn't leave it sounding as if they are pictures taken by Freddie Kruger, and reasonable people should be able to determine there may be something in there they don't want to see.

Hey why not ask if we could get a separate section like the locals or something of that sort, just for hunting like "the hunting cabin" Or "The Blind" something like that.

I don't do forum setups but it should not be too difucult to set up.

Honestly guys if someone starts a thread about hunting and someone doesn't want to read it then I suggest they don't click into the thread.

If someone doesn't want to read about hunting then they need not click the thread. I'm not interested in SOA conversions on YJ's so I don't read the threads. Same should apply for a hunting thread.
