Awwww.... a 5.6 barely gets our attention. Lots of broken booze bottles in stores near the epicenter but no other significant damage.

Odhinn and I are storm chasers. I have lived in Tornado alley most of my life. But then again, meteorology fascinates me.

when you chase them your suppost to be smart enough to stay far enough away, but here is the catch you cant be to smart because you a chasing a fricken tornado. OHHH well I do it too! its alot of fun, about 6-8 months ago I was following a cell that produce 16-24 funnel clouds (me and my team counted diffenently) in a 3 mile area and produced 3 tornado's, that was and awsome night.

That is true, it takes a little bit of insanity to chase them. Odhinn and I were surrounded by at least three small F2's earlier this year. One almost dropped on top of us. That was one situation where we were caught very unaware but it sure was thrilling. I sure am glad he installed an after market cage!

My mom tells stories of when she would drive and Pop would sit on the hood and tell her when to stop & how fast to go and when to turn. There was no way to see cars coming at intersections, you had to listen for them. I'm glad I'm not there.

Central valley California, Porterville area.

There's been many a night that the only way to get home from the central valley was to ride the bots dots in the slow lane until a semi went by. Then you let them get out in front until you can just make out their tail lights and follow them home.

NOT ME!!!!
you can be aware of tornadoes and Huricanes but not from Quakes!!!!
I came from a activelly earthquake country (Peru) and I live in FL,so I have both experiences and I raher live with tornadoes and huricanes than an earthquakes.
You can avoid an huricane and tornadoes(well some of them, at least you see them coming),but not Earthquakes!!!!!

Before I am OC met and I convinced her to storm chase with me I went through a low F4/ high F3. Was a nasty little bugger. Shattered windows, uprooted 100 year old trees, and flipped a few of my buddies cars over. I ended up under an overpass strapped to the bridge hoping it was secure enough to hold. Earthquakes scare the heck out of me. In all the storms I have been through the ground was always secure and didn't move under my feet.

Worse part was one of the cars was a cherry 440 Cuda (can't remember the year ATM).

The worst part about twisties for me is at night. Ya can't see 'em. Other than that...party on Wayne. I'm not terrified so much as I respect the power of a bigun.

...but I do not like being a sitting duck at night.
