Edmonds just hit a GRAND SLAM!!

That's it. Just wanted to share my joy. You don't see too many grand slams these days. Sorry if you're a Brewers fan, but the CUBS are kicking some serious BUTT in this series against Milwaukee. In the last 5 games, the Cubs have scored 38 runs!! Of course, when winning really counts, the Cubs usually fall a little short, but there's always NEXT YEAR!!!!!

Yeah, it's baseball. Edmonds plays for the Cubs of Chicago fame. Grand slam= home run with the bases loaded......but I expect you knew that.
Baseball is admittedly more fun to watch at the ballpark than on television. I like all sports except hockey. Nothing against hockey, there just wasn't ever a team anywhere close to where I lived to follow. Key Largo, Florida wasn't the hockey hot-spot.

Flyers all the way. I've been watching Hockey since I was five and Philly got an expansion team. I'm also into football, footie, boxing, MMA, and various other violent activities.

But baseball...... there's not enough rushing the mound in my opinion. There should be a seventh inning fight. I'd watch that.

The Cubs are really looking good this year......AT TIMES. Other times they're the Cubs of old. That fan, by the way, is the most hated man in Chicago. I'd bet he's got a dollar sign hanging on his head too.

I'm not in Chicago, I'm currently in Kansas. I spent my childhood in a small town in Kansas and WGN was the main television network, so I grew up with Harry Caray and Steve Stone announcing all the Cubs games. My dad is a big Cubs fan, so my younger sister and I really only had one option when it came to watching television in the summer afternoons. Remember, that's when there were no lights at Wrigley, so all their games were afternoon games. Here's a pic of the scoreboard at the last game I attended at Wrigley. It was May, 2005. I'd racked up a bunch of leave days and used 10 or so to catch up with the Cubs and Sox at Wrigley. You know how much of a cross-town rivalry there is in Chicago, and the Sox had been killing the Cubs for the whole series until the last game which the Cubs won. Here's the scoreboard......
