Emts, firefighters, police officers

Just wanted to create a thread for anyone who is an Emt firefighter or police officer and say hi and/or share experiences.

Me first! As of now I am an Emt-I, Rope rescue cert, Hazmat tech, industrial firefighter, and wildland firefighter (not a card holder yet on that). I work for a mine who has a select few people on a rescue team. Plus I also work on our county's ambulance service whenever possible.

Yeah we do the pack test and all neccesary training but never actually test since the company doesn't want to pay for it cuz we don't need a card to fight wildland on private party. And woo hoo good luck!

Was a Volunteer Firefighter/Engineer for 7 years until I moved out of district. I was one of our extrication technicians, and held a "Red Card" (What we call for being wildland FF cert) Now my time is taken up by Krav Maga, wife and kids, and my job at our local feed store.

Hey don't give me a ticket if you ever see my jeep haha. I have gotten out of 4 speeding tickets in my pickup just because I have the star of life sticker on my rear window!

Deputy Sheriff assigned as a School Resource Deputy. 15 years with the department, 7 years in the schools. I've seen stupidity and I've learned to embrace it.

7 years on the force! Got hired at 21 and been having fun ever since... Worked in a plain clothes surveillance team, and a gang squad and always came back to the road! That's where it all happens!

Here's my daily driver =P. 08 Hemi... We have a police car take home program! When I'm off I only drive my JK tho!

Former volly for about 15 years, 3 different depts, 2 different states (DE & MD). FF and EMT-B. Finally dropped out due to wife's health. Last dept ran 1500 fire and 3500 ambo calls/yr. Hard to keep up with all that. Still miss it, though.

Once it's in your blood, it'll always be there. Once a firefighter, always a firefighter.

I was an EMT-I back in college, and most of my calls were of the college campus variety. A lot of drunks puking on me, attempted suicides, bar fight injuries,.. general stupidity that got people hurt. I lived in the dorms at the time and our uniforms were almost identical to the police uniforms and I always thought it was funny that whenever I walked down the halls in my uniform on my way to or from a shift how quickly the doors would shut as I approached. I do miss it and will never forget going on my first call, a soccer player unresponsive. Now, I sit at a desk all day.
