Excting day today

today we had a murder and an armed robbery in my town!
the robber had two hostages and the murderer was at large. This was all at 1:50, so we were not allowed to leave school until 4:30 when they caught the murderer and the robber had released his hostages!
This was the first robbery in 18 years and the first murder in our town in 73 years!
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/cit...ve_search.html
what a fun two and a half hours in our last period of class in lock down, not allowed to go into the halls!

btw funniest joke ever, we finally get out, and one of my friends says says im REALLY hungry and another one says "I heard they have Killer pizza over at stonehearth" (we thought that robber at Stonehearth pizza was the murderer)

anyways very exciting day, lock down and got my jeep back up and running!

Man, you have a small quiet town.

Here in the Bay Area, this happens daily. We don't even hear about most of them.

man i can't wait until i get out of here.

The little town we are moving to posts every "crime" in the paper. From drunk drivers to the little old man who stole a sausage from the grocery store. Odhinn and I joke that we better not get pulled over or the story will be in the morning paper. lol

yes sir! I'll try to summarize, its a long one
I park my Jeep on a sidestreet next to my buddy and his truck. We were waiting for someone, so we get out and walk about 20 or 30 yards away at a corner. I see a van drive past, then stop, and turn around
it stops right next to my Jeep (the top was off and everything)
a mexican gets out (not to offend anyone!) of the van, and meanwhile, he leaves the van door open and keeps it running. I was just like w/e, I don't judge people. I kept my eye on them, he was looking around and saw us (I'm 18)
he looked around for about a minute, maybe longer (it seemed a lot longer!)
then he moved closer to my Jeep
he got next to it, then I made my move
I walked towards him, and he hopped back in the van and drove off
I was screaming and yelling at him the whole way.
I don't mind if he was looking, but he was TO suspicious, and I got that hunch that he wanted it.

I wouldn't call that exicting. I'd call that a sad day.

If you were able to ask the murdered person what kind of day that was what do you think he/she would say?

A Judge, being bored with what cases he was hearing, recently said....I can't wait until I ge my hands on a nice juicy murder case! I looked at him and said...you do realize that there are family members who wish that case didn't exist.

Of course he is jewish and only thinks of himself. You Debruins need to think of others also. Murder, robbery and hostage taking are very traumatizing and are not to be considered "exciting".
