Factoids

So what useless bits of information are taking up valuable real estate in your head.

- A snowflake can fall as fast as 9mph or as slow as 1.2mph.
- The average height of a meerkat is only 12".
- Honeybees have hair on their eyes.
- Trick candles use magnesium in the wick.
- Pac Man was originally named Puck Man but executives at Namco renamed it after realizing that vandals could change the name drastically by scratching out part of the P.
- A pigs orgasm lasts up to 30 minutes.

I got some more:
-Starbucks spends more on health care than it does on coffee beans.
-Six percent of prisoners in the United States are in private prisons that are operated for profit.
-A cheetah can go from 0 to 70 mph in 4 seconds.
-If you use the emergency phone in an elevator in the United States to call for help, the person you speak to will most likely be in India.
-The CLOSE DOOR button in most elevators is a placebo: it’s not connected to anything.
-Half the airplanes in the U.S. are in Alaska.
-Over sixty countries in the world have an annual gross national product smaller than the endowment of Harvard University.
-Elephants can hear through their feet.

If you hold your head at a normal angle (level) and take a large gulp of water with a capsule, the capsule will actually float. You have to physically retard the capsule from going down in order not to swallow it.

The ball at the top of a military's main post flag pole is called a "Truck". Inside that truck are three items......a razor, a .45 caliber round, and a match. The round is for defense, the razor is to destroy the flag, and the match is to set the pieces afire so as to keep the flag from being captured. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.......
