Family Day at the Range

Just thought I'd post this video for ya. I have some better one's also. Just check out the link in my sig.

I took the family out to the shooting range this weekend. All in all it was a blast but being the one with the most experience by far it was exhausting. The video is not the greatest because I had to keep helping everyone. lol But hey everyone had a good time and there is nothing like shooting with the family.

After shooting open sights for a year I decided to get my son a cheap little scope from Walmart and put it on his Mossberg .22. He loved it. lol

I think my wife and my mom decided they like the LC9 a lot better than the LCR. There was some training that went on. Dad hasn't shot a pistol in 30+ years. Almost got his thumb knocked off until I corrected him. Mom was shooting at the floor a few times. lol.

I think everyone liked shooting my Walther PPQ .40 the best.

Critiques are of course welcomed. We can always learn new things.

Looks like everyone had fun and you had your hands full. It's a wonder your dad had a thumb left with that grip. Your mom hand recoil issues because she was cupping her left hand underneath. Your son's reply to "What are you shooting at?" was priceless. Thanks for sharing the video!

Thanks for watching. Yeah I quickly stopped my dad as soon as I saw it. lol He got lucky. My mom had a bunch of issues we'll work on next time, I didn't even notice the cupping. Thanks for the critique. Sometimes things get overlooked.

Most people don't realize just how difficult it is to accurately shoot a handgun. So much goes into it. There is so much to consider all at the same time that it's tough for someone just starting out. It's only after much practice that it becomes second nature. All of the factors involved then must become so automatic that they are often referred to as "muscle memory". Throw in the unforseen variables of a real life situation and it's a wonder you can hit anything at all.
