fellow jeeper in my club passed away

yesterday, a great man, Scott Molton past away at only the age of 42. he was a great man. a very active member to the club. always had a good answer when i or any one else had a question on how to fix something or "why is my jeep making that noise". i didnt get to know him as well as i would have liked to, bc for my first couple years in the club, where i worked had to weird of a schedule, so i very rarely was able to make many club gatherings. but from what i did get to know of him, he was a very genuine, caring, giving man. he offered me help when my ownership of my rubicon was in trouble, even tho he really barely knew me either.

i just ask you keep him and his family in your thoughts.

Makes you think about going on more runs, and making more meetings, doesn't it? I know there is never enough time to do all the things you want, but when you lose someone that you could have spent more time with...do what you can to help the others, like Scott did (RIP), and remember what is was like to have a friend like that, and continue on...

X2 - Carry the inspiration he gave to you and give that to others. People touch our lives every day but only a few notable ones leave a lasting positive impression. Celebrate the positive things he contributed to your life and return those gifts to those around you.

Sorry about the bad news man.

thanx again guys. i went to his funeral today, and they actually brought his jeep out and put it infront of the hurse to go from the home to the cemetary. we ended up not having enough people from the club show up, so even tho i drove my jeep to the meeting point where we all decided we would meet and parade to the home from, a few people from my club showed up in one of the members suburbans, and invited me to just ride with them the rest of the way.

when we got there, there was Scotts jeep and then there was a heavily modded rubicon sitting right behind it to go along with it to the cemetary. and the whole reason the owner of the rubi had it, all started with scott. Scott worked with this guys wife, and knew she was into trucks and things, and she just got a libby. so he tried his damnedest to get her and her husband to buy a wrangler to go wheeling with him by just laying pictures of his wheeling trips on her desk for her to see when she got to work..lol... so they bought a 98 and wheeled that with scott for a while, then they went out and bout this rubi and modded it. so it just seemed fitting that if only one other jeep joined scotts in the line, it was this one. and these were great people too. then we all went to lunch and shared our memories of Scott

Sorry about your clubs loss. Sounds like you all lost a pretty decent fellow. Out here there are pretty much 3 of us that are always the "Base" wheelers so if there was only 2 in line today it was the missing man formation.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends.
