i agree with ya on that nate. i highly doubt a college team could beat an nfl team. but college football is sooo much better to watch due to the fact that players (theoretically) aren't getting paid. they just play for the love of the game. and yes. the SEC is the shiznit and UF proved that last season. kinda makes you think that auburn should been put in the natl chamionship a few yrs back, instead of nebraska or oklahoma (dont remember which it was).

I would be interested in Fantisy Football with just this group. BTW talking smack is required the leagues get boring without it Also pick a good source even if it cost some money so we can have a live draft. The draft is half the fun of the league.

BTW with the new coach I guess I will say for the first time I am a Cards fan this year.

Hackle, that's impossible. No body in AZ is a Cardinals fan. They just go to the new stadium to see the other teams. Even the players have other favorite teams.

What do you all think about doing a Yahoo fantasy league? I am in a few of them every year. One we draft in person, one we do an online live draft and other other we just align our players and let it all happen.

I like how they let you do the settings even for the free leagues.

I would be willing to commish a league if we have 10 or 12 people that will participate.

So if you do want to please say so again and I will update this post with the names. Also either post your email address or PM it to me so that when we get 10 or 12 teams I can email you the link to the league.

Doesn't count? Funny - I have never seen a scoreboard that has anything like that on it!

Plus - if anyone can say doesn't count - I think the team that went 2-14 is the only one. Sucks you were part of the 2!!

Just Win Baby!!!!!

And count me in for fantasy - I PMd you my email already Jack.

Okay we have 9 so far. I'd like to have at least 1 more for a 10 team league and wouldn't mind a 12 team league. Do we have three other guys/gals that want to be part of the WF Bowl I?

Also fella's. In all my leagues we usually do Defensive Players instead of Team Defense's. What do you all want to do? I will setup either or. Also beware my leagues have a lot of points. None of this 25 points a week junk. We are talking 2k on a good week.

Never done individual Def players before. I am down for something new.

If you use Yahoo - there are two settings that are not on by default for scoring that I think should be there if you want to click em. -1 for your QB for getting sacked and -1 for a fumble (there is already -2 for a fumble lost, but I think you should also be penalized if you drop the ball regardless of who picks it up).

the way we play QB's do lose points for sacks based on the rushing yards that are taken away, however I can definitely add in the sack points. But it's gonna be more than -1. Probably more like -10. Same for the fumbles. We do -25 for a fumble lost. Makes the +40 for the TD's a little more valuable. We also do -25 for interceptions.

How many Defensive players? While I do like the live draft and the smack talk I would not like to draw out the draft to two days

We normally do a combination of the following:

2 DL

and either 3 LB/1 DB, 2 LB/2 DB, or 1 LB/3 DB

Offense we generally go:

QB
RB
3 WR
TE
and then use the combo player for the last for RB/TE so you can use either.

Then a kicker.

How about for the first year we keep it simple and let everyone get to know each other and just do a defensive team score instead of individual players? Let's not scare anybody thinking of getting into there first league

Excellent point Jim. I agree. Just got a little ahead of myself. I'm perfectly fine with doing Team Defense's. I think I can add some interesting point categories for that.

We still need 1 more player and preferrably 3 more if we can.
