I had never seen this show "Finding Bigfoot" before, but I was flipping channels over the weekend, and saw them near my old home town up the McKenzie River. How cool was that? They made my backwoods part of Oregon seem so remote, and they made the locals look like scary redneck hicks (OK, that's not hard to do).
But they kept saying that "no one is ever on the banks of this river so far away...blah blah..." Heck, I've fished on that river a bunch. It was just down from Ollalie Landing, and we used to launch our boat there all the time.
It's funny how something so normal to one person can seem so foreign and scary to someone else.
And for the record: I've spent a lot of nights in those woods, in Scouts, in college, etc. I've never seen a Bigfoot. A few really hairy loggers though.
