Fish or lift Jeep ??

My wife just called. Her former boss called and asked if I would like to go fishing Saturday.

Let's see...

Jeep fun. All primed to install 1"BL and 2"BB. Plan to start tearing down Friday night and finish Saturday.

Fishing...not been in about 5 years. Last time was with wife's boss. Had a good time and caught fish too.

Hmmmm...decisions decisions.

Both options have me out of the house and out of wife's way.

One option means I won't be around for family PC/Network problems.

What's a guy to do...

Ooh, thats a tough one. If we're talking freshwater (lake/pond/river) I'd personally have to pass and just work on the Jeep. If it's saltwater the Jeep can wait.

I'd go fishing. You can always do the lift next week. Besides you said you haven't been in 5 years.

It will be Lake Livingston and fish during the day.

Last time we did that we trolled for stripers.

Saturday weather, partly sunny, high will be low 80's, 5% chance of rain.

Will need to restring my reel. Don't want to trust 5 year old line.

I have till 8:30 tonight to make up my mind.

fish saturday, lift sunday

I haven't been lake fishing in years, but I go out about once a year deep sea. Love spending the day with chum and salt all over me, stinking of fish and BSing with my Pops.

go fishing!

if you have some experience in working on cars you can put in the BB and BL in the evening when your at home again. it will not take more than 3 hours if you´re a fast worker (and all the body mount screws come off without problems).

Sunday I have only the afternoon left. Then I would hate some unforseen disaster to force me to hitch a ride to work and finish on Monday.

Worked on quite a few in the backyard. I at least have access to some airtools so that's a bit faster than ratcheting. If I work alone I could move at my speed. I will have my son and dad out there too. Give my son the grunt work like jacking and holding and prying. Let my dad sit and supervise.

If I don't finish Friday night then I could take the wife's Escape to the lake (she only needs it for groceries and laundry and grandkids). Fish and finish Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like a plan anyway. I'll be honest I really want to go fishing. I just have to work it out.

Strippers...oh my

yep...i had to go back when I was posting and check my spelling on that one.

Never know if the wife will glance over my shoulder tonight and read strippers instead of stripers.

Heck I don't get out of the house often enough now.

Hell Bob, if you got your boy and air tools then you could probably get that BL on there Friday night. Then either finish it up Saturday or Sunday evening if you don't. Sounds like the weather is just going to be good for fishing.

Either way have a good time and if you see Scout in the bushes throwing rocks at the fish then just put a warning shot over his bow and he'll run off.

I'm going fishing all day tomorrow. I got so excited in the garage last night while spooling my new fishing line.

warning shots ??

Warning shot.....?

Marines don't fire warning shots. It waste perfectly good ammo doing that.

Go for the "x" ring on every trigger pull.

Fishing or Jeep? Wow, that is a tough one! Since you haven't been fishing in 5 years, I'd say go fishing! I'm hoping to go jeeping to the spot to go fishing, this weekend.

Well it looks like fishing is winning.

I talked with her former boss just now. He is going to check the weather report for Livingston and the plan right now is to fish from sunup to sundown.

Amy I hope you get to jeep on over to the fish. I am going to try and do the same a couple times this summer down to the coast.

Overall looks like the Jeep will be waiting probably 2 weekends. I promised my family to work on their computers next weekend. Trust me...when I go to work on them it is never just one thing. It is a multitude and each new thing leads to another question.

I had a comment run through my mind about the taste of raw bass. It's best I save it for the bar after a few cold ones have been consumed. And then I'll have to know the folks fairly well before I do.
