flashing lights

I had a little excitment last night.....
I'm driving home after working 3-11 & look in the rearview: . He steps to the window, asks for my license/reg/insurance, tells me I was going 45-50 in a 25 zone and walks back to his car...I didn't said a word. As he's checking to see if I'm a wanted criminal, I sit there with my heart pounding and dreading that my insurance rates will now surely go up. After what seemed an eternity, he's back at my window (smiling?) telling me I don't have any points (of course not, I've never gotten a ticket) and there had been a number of robberies in the area and they were stopping people for any infraction.

At this point (now that I've found my tongue), I kick in a little charm: "Thank you, Officer, I really appreciate it"

I admit, I was a little disappointed he didn't comment on what a nice Jeep I have

That is enough to make you want to drive at a snails pace.......lol. Nothing worse than one of those officers sneaken up on you like that. Sure am glad he let you go, without giving you any driving awards.

It is easy for me, well first my jeep really dont like going 50 so tough to beat most speed limits but IF i do no worries. I know all the Garland county sheriff officers (will be one soon), Hot springs police officers, Arkansas State Troopers Troop K, and i am an ambulance driver (that helps too LOL) and know most of the first responders/firefighter(not alway a good thing, sometimes knowing them will get you in more trouble LOL). so even getting the lights behind me is hard they all know my jeep (not complaining though). and NO i dont know all the officers because i have been pulled over so much, i know them from working accident scenes, and just BS with them at the local buger hops. most of them here are pretty cool cop.

my room mate is like that he is always getting off with warnings from the police, he drives an 03 subaru wrx sti spec and launched it from the line against some cars and the police pulled him over and they just started car talk and the cop asked him why he did it and he said for fun the cop laughed and let him go. he is a crazy sob but he put one of my 4wheelin sticks on his bedroom door so he down for the jeep scene
