This week we got all of the Christmas decorations put back up in the storage area of the garage and then cleaned it out. Following that we drove over to the storage lot with gas and jumper cables in hand to bring our youngest son's project car home for us to start working on.
I cannot tell you how happy he was to finally be able to drive his car! He was smiling as big as I have ever seen before and when I told him to give the throttle a wee nudge that smile got even bigger as the 350 pushed us back in our seats! As we were driving along he asked me why we have to tear down the engine and all I said to him was, "hold on to that thought." When we got to the house and he could see, hear and smell all the foul odors and noises the engine was making he said, "oh."
Let it all begin.
