That is way too cool. I have to drive 20 mins every time I want to have access to my lift. I'd love to put it in my garage

Thanks.Ceilings are 10'. They used some kind of cement lags to mount to the floor.Luckily my floors are 6in thick.

My lift! Jeeps on it quite a bit lol. Let me tell you... when u work on a lift you never wanna do anything on the ground again. That's a cool set up. Can you stand under the car then its all the way up?

I have to get my garage door motor raised, tracks extended.A car yes,my TJ,prob not all the way but far enough.Maybe someday Ill have the ceiling just over the lift raised. Not sure if thats possible but for now It will work a lot better than before,on my back.
Yours looks like you can stand under it.Looks like you also have some cool cars there,is that a vette?

Yes that's the ass end of the vette and that car in front of the CNC machine is some hopped up Dodge thing my friend was storing. There's a bunch of bikes in front of the vette to.

If your garage has a second floor or something. Cut the floor out so the car will raise up level with the second floor so someone could be up top working on it and someone could be under it at the same time lol.

And yes I'm 6'1" and can stand under mine no problem. The axles are in the way tho. Its close.

Been, there ,done that,a lot.Fortunately Ive always worked in a garage so Ive almost always had access to a lift.It just makes it convenient and easier when Ive had enough or Im ready to put the hammer thru the side of whatever Im working on,usually the Jeep i can walk away for as long as I need.Im talking days or weeks. And easier to do side work at home.

Where did you get the lift and did the company install it for you?

I wish I had room for a 2 post but my garage is only 1 bay wide, but its pretty deep (55ft) also I do a lot of bodywork/paint so a 2 post would be in the way. I settled for a portable mid rise lift.

I waited 40 years for my dream garage. It has been a work in progress for the last 4 years. The metal building is 1200 sq ft heated and AC with an additional 1200 covered outside. I got a 4 post lift used from a shop. It is a 1996 model out of a Ford dealership. I brought it in on a roll back tow truck in one piece and then had a pro install it. If you suffer from garage envy as I did for years, I feel your pain. Build it and they will come...your buddies with beer, cigars and jeeps.

I hear you on that. my 1 car garage usually contains a harley, an LTZ400, a torn apart kingpin 60, and all of my freeloading sisters belongings.

Can't see your pic. If you're talking about a lift, they are anchor bolts. You drill all the way thru the slab to the dirt. Hammer the anchor thru. Then put an impact on the nut. When it pulls the anchor Back thru, the sleeve slides on the tapered end and spreads. It is locked down. I have 4anchors on each post of my 4 post lift.
