My girlfriend and I have been geocaching for about 2 years regularly. We travel a LOT which fits perfect with the sport. And off-roading goes perfect with that as well. We like to create caches in our area and hide them in the most difficult to get to places. Not dangerous really, just very difficult. It makes the prize at the end so much more worth the trip.

I got my Jeep because of Geocaching, I saw and rode in several Wranglers while going out caching. I liked the experience so much that when I started thinking about a new vehicle I just had to get a Wrangler, love the whole topless thing!

It would be cool to have a subcategory for the caching Jeepers here. Maybe among the other community groups.

I am the blimping cacher. I am listed out of North Carolina (Fayetteville area) , but I live and work on the road. My current assignment is with a blimp in New Jersey.

I p,an to attend Geowdoodstock IX in PA next July. I think some kind of Jeep group would be cool.

That's cute!
The little guys are a kick to go caching with sometimes.

Not when there are a zillion micros, but when looking for full sized caches.

I did a search in the Turkey Bay area today. I have been dying to go there and thought some of my friends were going to go with me sometime, but we haven't worked it out yet. There are, umm... one or two!

We gave up. We thought it was really cool, but did not own a GPS device. We would just read the clues and take a good peak at a google satellite image and get out there. We found almost everyone we looked for. But we got tired of finding a broken stick or piece of trash or someone's ratty wallet business card in the cache when we were bringing along really cool prizes to swap out.

I still think it's an awesome idea though. There is another similar thing called stamp something or another, I used to take the little girls I looked after to do this one - Letterboxing North America yeah, that's it, letter boxing.

Anyway, happy geocaching all! I actually still have a Jeep Coin that needs to be placed into another geocache location, poor dude that left it must be waiting for it to show back up somewhere; this is a good reminder.
