My kids love going on Geocaching trips. We usually will plan 4 or 5 and spend a few hours searching. Some of the best time I have with the wife and kids is driving around with the jeep topless/doorless hunting for treasures.

Congratulations on your first find.

We haven't been in may be six years. I was just telling the wife how I'd like to do some more when I came across this thread. Have fun and make sure to get the whole family involved. You just can't get any better family time.

I've had a couple of people try to get me into it but I have other activities to get me outside.

I got hooked on Geocaching back in November (after purchasing my new Wrangler) and have been to so many new places (parks, hiking trails, historic locations, and so forth) all thanks to geocaching. A perfect hobby for a retired person such as myself (my geoname is "JeepFeet")

Heading to Lake George area this week and plan on doing some Geos while we are there. We have a trackable from Hawaii that needs to be moved along and will leave it somewhere up there. Unfortunately the Jeep is staying home. (still working on the wife to take it so hopefully I can convince her)

I've been geocaching since about last February. My youngest son (25 yrs. old) usually goes with me. My geocaching name is the same as here - Gliderjohn. Always take my jeep when we go.

I've got a trackable from Germany that's trying to get to California. After 8800 miles, it made it's way to 4 caches in Alberta, Canada before coming back to Quebec, New Jersey, and finally to here in the Philly area.

I got permission from the owner to hold onto it until late August when I'll be traveling to Arizona. I plan to drop it off in cache out there along with one of my own geocoins.

Regrettably, my jeep won't be going with me, either.

That will probably be a hard one to retrieve.

My son and I went about two weeks ago. Texas Parks and Wildlife has setup the Texas Geo Challenge and placed a cache in all the major State parks. We are heading out this weekend to hit as many parks as possible in one of the five regions in the state. It's a good way to get out in the jeep and to spend some time with my boy.

My avatar was taken when we were out geocaching.

Me and a girlfriend went out last night looking for a geocache! Didn't find it in the dark, but had a great time!

I think we've upped our geocaching challenge....do it in the dark!
