thanks joe. we can't wait. his parents are actually taking us . they were going to take up a few years ago as a college graduation gift, but it fell though, so they asked us if we wanted to go this year. i know there is a TON of stuff to do there, but i wondered what were some ideas of must see/do's.

You can do anything in Vegas...literally.

What do you like to do? Shows? Site seeing? Shopping? Sports (golf, boxing etc)?

Route 15 north i believe will take you to the painted desert.
we haven't yet but there is dunne buggies and desert rides that are real entertaining.
hoover dam really interesting. go in or take a ride on the lake lots of fun.
miniture golf near the stratusfer.
alot of good places to eat. just ask your hotel

we go every thanksgiving. gamble, shows, food, and travel the area.
if you want to see a show call now to get tickets. you would be surprized how hard it can be if you don't do it in advance.

Had a former girlfriend take me to a Cirque Du Soleil in Miami. Now they're doing shows full time in Vegas. I would highly recommend them. If you're not familiar with what they do, check them out on YouTube.

Also, go to a Blue Man Group show while you're there. They put on an awesome show. You can check them out on YouTube as well.

Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

First few days of November is SEMA show.

But if you miss that, there's plenty to do on the strip and downtown. If this is a first visit, just exploring everything and watching people is great.

After a bunch of visits, it's nice to get out of town (if you're not a city/crowds person anyway). Red Rocks, etc.

Just outside of town. To the west is Red Rock State Park with real nice walking trails. East of town is Valley of Fire State Park <my favorite), it is like a mini Grand Canyon with some wildlife (Desert Sheep) veiwing. Mt Charleston (much higher elevation) is a nice little day trip with great views also. All of these can be done in a rental car.

Also if you go to this web site you might be able to arrange a ride-along for some for wheeling.
