GoPro H3 Silver vs White edition

Been watching some youtube comparison videos and leaning towards the silver.

So wanted to get the communitys thoughts for those that use and have experience with them.

Thanks

Im rockin one of the older gopros...before the first hero came out...so no experience with the new ones. From what I can see on the specs, the biggest difference between the white and silver is the still image resolution (also a little with the 960p filming). Are you thinking about using the wifi remote, or are you going to use the app?

I would read up on some of the reviews for the H3. I know there were some issues with them, but maybe they have addressed them by now. I have a H2 which has worked flawlessly since the day I got it.

Using the app most likely. Was watchung this video

I like the way the color looks on the silver thou it does seem abit too saturated maybe. The night test done doesnt show the silver with protune off which makes the white look better

The only reason I asked about the app or remote was because if you said remote...I woulda suggested you just get the black. Better camera and comes with the remote. If you bought the silver, and then bought the remote separately, you would only be 20 bucks shy of a black.

If it were me, I would go with the silver. Overall, the pic quality looked much better on the silver. Also, if there is an option to turn the protune off...I bet the silver would look much closer to the white (if that is the image appearance that you prefer). You may also consider, is more of your filming going to be done during daylight, or night? If day, the obvious choice would be the silver...if night, I would stil 'bet' that the silver truly does have a better image...and it may not be portrayed to well in that vid. I couldnt see gopro improving the camera with the silver...but skimping on the night video.

I have the white and I am very happy with it. I read for days trying to decide. Just couldn't justify the money for the black and the specs on the Silver are not much better for video so I went cheap and have no regrets. I only use it occasionally for trail rides and so far I am happy with the results.
