Amsoil is superior, because it costs more.........

My favorite of all is, you change your oil too often and are wasting our natural resources.............some today just think GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.................

This GREEN one just blows my mind............

OK I've seen a lot of these lately.

I paid 40 k for my jeep and snorkels look cool. Once I put one on I can drive underwater right? Other than the engine intake the rest of the jeep is completely waterproof right?

I sometimes try to get them to skip the snorkel and just make one using PVC pipe and duct tape

One of my OCDs is spelling and grammar. Having said that, "it's" is a contraction for "it is." But I'm just messing with you to play around and mainly be sarcastic. When people send "professional" emails to me at work that look like a 5th grader wrote them, I correct it and send it back. I am probably going to be fired one day. LOL.

Back to the topic, something I haven't really seen here, but I get tired of people asking me, "Does that have a Hemi in it?" Do you guys get that often? I even asked one guy, "What's a Hemi?" He couldn't answer. I asked him if he had no idea what a Hemi was, why would it matter if my Jeep had a Hemi or not?

The main conversations I like jumping in are when someone asks a question, someone gives an answer or asks them to elaborate, and the OP gives the guy trying to help them a hard time. A couple of VW forums and Shadow forums that I frequent get brutal sometimes. I don't understand why someone would ask a question about something, then berate the person trying to help them.

Oh, and the snorkel conversations never get old. "Sure buddy, just drive that thing right through a lake. You have a snorkel, you'll be fine. " LOL

In the TJ forum there is quite a bit of tech related topics. The snorkel, cai, and fuel mileage ones tend to get shut down rather quickly, lol.

There has really been some funny ones on this Forum, Example: I spent $30,000 on my new Wrangler and I now have 14,000 miles on it, but the change engine oil notification has never come on! Should I just keep driving it, or is it time to change the oil? I'm still confused, sad, but true

My favorite one is, I didn't know that I was suppose to check my engine oil level, how do I do that?

And isn't it great to know, that we are sharing the same highway with these drivers!

Finally, for some reason, there are some that just won't accept, or respect somebody's opinion. They demand a full page detailed explanation to justify the opinion that was given. Sometimes this can get nasty, but they also can be humorous, so sometimes I like to add fuel to the fire!

I have a few favorites...
1. Overly macho guy who thinks that in order to be a "real" jeeper your rig has to be carpetless, have no a/c, and constantly break down, requiring you to carry a 2025-piece mechanics tool set with you at all times. This jeep must also be perpetually topless/doorless, especially in bad weather
2. Wave threads. The op usually comes across as butt-hurt that they didn't get a wave from a perfect stranger that they feel they are entitled to
3. Anyone who can't figure out the most basic mechanical things. "Ok I've read the manual 6 times, sent 4 emails to Chrysler, and searched the forums but I can't find the answer anywhere... which direction should I turn the torx bolts to remove the doors?"
4. What color will make me look cool? What songs should I listen to to be cool? What outfit should I wear so people will think I'm a real jeeper? Etc, etc..

Too many topics to even begin to name... But they are not really guilty pleasures....more like..."ugg...not this topic again"....and the threads usually start with "Should I....".

I think this is my new favorite thread. Checked this one out and went to the tj threads and found the awesome post of airing down the spare tire to save weight but bring portable compressor to fill it up. A genius idea nonetheless.

Well duh! If you start with 35lbs of air in each tire, then air down to 15 lb. You lose 20 lb per tire. That is a loss of 80lb. Compressor weighs 15 lb. That means you save net 65lb in weight.... Right? I mean its simple math people! Get with the program!

We even had a Wrangler Model War going on. It's comical how most defend what they own as being the only true Wrangler, "best of the best", but yet it is easy to read into their wording, as too just how jealous they are of what some others own!

Anytime a thread starts with should I my answer is "Hell yea!... matter of fact I would...(fill in blank) also!"

For example:

Q. Should I ford a river that is windshield deep to prove to my peckerwood buddy my snorkel works?
My A. Hell yea! Just rub some RTV around the fuse box cover and you'll be fine. Matter of fact... If you take off your bumper and weld a john boat nose on there! THe SOB will float then! Thatll be impressive as hell for your buddy to see. Check the tech threads... There is a thread on it somewhere i'm sure.

I don't (normally) say this kind of thing... But my inner smart ass sure thinks it when I see the posts.

Awww man everyone knows that no other wrangler can touch the 99! Especially the ones with the 4 banger in it! Those things are hotttt.
Yea I could never seriously do that. I love my jeep and it does what I want it to do. Its not the best but I dont need it to be.

The one kind of thread that I can't leave alone is when the OP sets up an account to complain about some issue with their new Jeep and what junk it is and how many times they've called or written the company/the dealer/the shop/their attorney/Dear Abby about it with no resolution. Naturally, they go on to wonder what kind of idiot is willing to drive such breathtakingly monumental piece of junk.

And of course, usually the OP's post count never gets above 1.
